So sad that this place is closed. They had the best Shrimp and Grits. Hope they move to Maryland!

In the area from out of state. Found Nick Ryan's had good reviews and gave it a try. Had the 'Local Smoked BBQ Pork Butt'. Very good. Would recommend! Nice, small restaurant with good atmosphere. Staff was very good.

The best bruchetta we've ever had! Fish was cooked perfect and the Hotbrown was huge and delicious. The service was great and we loved the cozy feel. We will definitely be back!

We had reservations but clearly didn't need them. They were not busy at all for a Saturday night. We were seated in the bar area because the main dining area was closed. Trio of dips appetizer - beer cheese, cucumber spread and hummus was quite good. The onion rings were very greasy not good at all. Stuffed pork chops special entree was good. Bourbon brined fried chicken (boneless) was overwhelming bourbon tasting and 1 piece was still pink in the middle. Would have been better without bourbon brine. Sides of mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts were just average. Service was okay but not stellar. It didn't live up to the reviews that I had seen.

The Shrimp and Grits are the 2nd best in Lexington! I will be back for more!!

Great atmosphere with poor parking and slightly better than chain good. If you looking for an upscale version of Texas Roadhouse you've found your place. With Blue Heron a block away it's hard to return. I liked it, just not enough to warrant a second visit.

awesome service and awesome food! Shane was our bartender and waiter and he was great!

We had a big group and the service and food were outstanding if a bit pricey.

Visited before a UK weekend game with our children. Bar area was full so we sat in the dining room. Really intriguing Saturday brunch & lunch menu with something for everyone... Burger, eggs benedict, turkey club, eggs and bacon, etc, all at a reasonable price. I had Eggs Maryland with a small, but terrific, crab cake on each half of the English muffin. Kids finished their chicken fingers and custom ordered turkey club (no lettuce of course). Service was good and we would definitely go back. Nice to be slightly off the main drag prior to a busy game.

Excellent vegan option of a quinoa bowl full of good veggies! Fantastic atmosphere, music was a little too loud though. Its not cramped, tables were spaced well. Friendly staff, our server was very kind and patient and checked often but not too much. 100% I’ll be back next time I come through Lexington.

We come here fairly often, one of our favorite downtown restaurants. I tried cheeseburger, spicy Nick style, this time. It was fantastic and I would make a trip just to have it again, accompanied by the Diablo Loco cocktail it was perfect.

We loved the calamari, pork chop, chicken and quinoa w/ crab cake. Service was wonderful!

I am from Kansas City. I like quality food without the pretentious atmosphere. I want to eat in jeans and a t-shirt when I am traveling and not feel the judgmental stares of the other arrogant patrons. Nick Ryan's is my place!
