We had an incredible experience celebrating my fiancé’s birthday. Rekai? was great and explained all the items of our set as well as providing pairing suggestions. Truly a memorable experience.
I take my out-of-state friends here to show them that Kentucky does indeed have good sushi. Food is always fresh and service is exceptional. Avi is my favorite chef🙌. Ecstatic about the new location opening soon!

So peaceful. Almost too many choices. Fish amazing! Best seat in the house when you use the restroom. I'm getting one for my new house!

Best sushi I’ve ever had!
We came here for a double date and we were all pleasantly surprised! The flavor, service and plating of the food were outstanding but by far the most memorable part was the quality of the fish! Yes, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for and in my opinion it was worth it! 10/10 recommend for a fancy date night or a celebration!

You walk in and the place looks beautiful- and that’s where the compliments stop. We had a terrible server, a white girl who had no idea what she was doing. First off we get our menus no direction as to what the menu was showing and where stuff was. We get to showing her what we want and if it’s rolls of sushi, and she proceeds to act as if that was what we were looking at. It was obviously our first time here and she lied to us so we could spend, to our surprise, 27$ on what we didn’t want. We proceeded to wait a whole hour, for raw fish, just to find out we got 4 pieces of sashimi that tasted terrible and got us food poisoning. And I ask, after they bring out the sashimi, is there any rolls? I already asked this prior and she proceeds to tell us there are sushi roll options on the BACK of the menu. After that I heard all I needed to hear, paid, and left. I will never return here again these people do not care about your experience and only want your money by any means. Please avoid going here for sushi there is far better options ANYWHERE else.

I had my birthday lunch at Omakase Sushi & Sake Bar with my coworkers and the sushi was fresh and delicious. However, the service was slow because there was only one server for the whole restaurant. The food is worth it, but expect delays if it's busy.

In summary, the best word I can use is adequate.....This was our first time (and possibly last) dining at Omakase....my expectations were high, however what I found was food that was adequate....the rolls were tasty, however they were very much the same that I get at other much more inexpensive places (minced rather than proper cuts of tuna and salmon), small pieces of fish (not traditional size cuts for sashimi or nigiri), the soup was watery and flavorless (much like a cheap hibachi grill), the tempura cheesecake was straight from a carnival (and completely frozen in the center).....presentation was plain and boring (no plating technique/imagination....just here's your food), we had to ask for wasabi separately
After our meal we realized this was a place that if you know the staff you are treated like royalty and if you are new......you are sheep to feed and get out so more "friends" can be seated
We made a reservation online and listed that we were celebrating a significant anniversary.....but that was overlooked as no one recognized our names (again sheep to feed) or our celebration......we were greeted by Mr. ManBun wearing outdoor camo pants (didn't see venison on the menu, but he looked to have just returned from hunting deer).....our server was.....adequate, but seemed to be interested in moving things along...
Overall, mediocre food at inflated prices....trendy if you can name names....an eatery pretending to be a Sushi restaurant, but franky not worth the time or money.....

I've only had sushi here, several times, and it's always hit the spot. The fish is fresh, sometimes a little too fresh haha. I'm a seafood lover but a couple of rolls I've tried in the past were a little too fishy for my taste. The aburi roll has become something we have to get every time, so good! One of these days I will actually have to try the rest of the menu. I do find this place to be a smidgen overpriced though. Service is always great and the hot towel is appreciated!

Very overpriced for bland rice and fish. Prepare to either leave hungry or spend and arm and a leg. Portions are very small and very expensive. Much better sushi around Lexington if you know where to look. Seems like this place puts more focus on the atmosphere than your hunger.

Had a lovely late lunch at Omakase, which we consider to be the best sushi place in Lexington. Our server Rika was very attentive and very kind. The rolls were fabulous. Our favorite was the aburi.

Zen Sushi has outstanding sushi! We enjoy sushi every we go and Zen is at the top of the list. My wife and I had a wonderful dinner experience. Adam did a great job providing excellent service. Zen Sushi has our highest recommendation. We will be back the next time we visit Lexington.
Zen is our top choice for sushi in Lexington. However, it was a little off its usual amazing standard. Dumpling soup and rolls were fantastic. Server was a little too eager and 18 pc sashimi plate was just okay.
Just ok
