Papi's Mexican Restaurant and Bar

If I could rate higher than five stars I would! We had read reviews of gluten free options and had to give it a try. The food was amazing. Our waitress was new and did a fabulous job and was very sweet. The atmosphere was wonderful and full of life. Starting with chips and salsa which were fresh and warm. We enjoyed the taquitos appetizer, fried fish tacos, cheese enchiladas and two deserts. The churros were out of this world. Generous portion size and very affordable! Will definitely be back when visiting the area. Thank you so much for such a great experience.

Odd experience. Gotta walk up a flight of stairs upon entering into a building that seems very old with an odd smell. Staff are nice and friendly. Upon seating, waiter acted like he didn’t know what a bean burrito was, but was still very nice. Salsa was like watered down canned tomatoes. Guacamole was the worst I’d ever had. Tasteless. The actual food was the worst part. Chicken tasted like it had been cooked in a 400 year old kitchen and pan. Beans were not edible. Worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to and it’s not remotely close. Unsure how this place has 4.3 average stars.

SCAMMERS. These people charged us 35$ for a large margarita, gratuity included already, menu said it was 14$

What started out as a not so good service, was turned in to a good one. My daughter has celiac, and I ordered a gluten free dinner to go. When I arrived home, there was flour tortillas in her meal. I called the restaurant back, talked to the manager Gali. She apologized and hand delivered her a new meal. I can’t thank Gali enough for caring about the service and my daughter condition enough to offer correction.
Papi’s, great choice as a manager.

food was good i prefer mine without hair in it though🤢 was two waiter on the floor that had a hard time keeping up was maybe 5-7 tables in total. Food was brought out by someone other then our server, she never checked on us until we were ready to leave.

Two stars for the nice server the salsa was canned tomato sauce awful not even salted yuck the chips meh the chimichanga meh goodness how difficult is it to make good Mexican food? Go elsewhere.

The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce and my burrito grande was filled with burnt crunchy and gritty black pieces. I asked for steak and was served ground beef, I think. I couldn't eat the meal.

I loved coming here for lunch... when they were open. I only short them one star for no longer being open near lunchtime. I love their food! And I don't care if I ever saw terrible customer service (which I never have) because I'm a terrible customer, so I got no room to talk. Papi - please open back up before we call the taco truck over here! ;)
