Service is nice. Entrees are good portions. However, I don’t know if I got a weird batch of crab rangoon but it just tasted like egg rolls. I opened it and there were a bunch of clearish chunks that’s not typically in the dish. Seems like they wrapped egg roll filling instead.

I thought the food was pretty good but the best part of what I ate was the serving size! I would’ve had at least two more meals of my chicken pad thai, but I dropped it in the parking lot, lol. :( I really liked my crab rangoon I ordered! I also was given a free cup of soup! It was all relatively good and I enjoyed it, but the portion size (for the $10 LUNCH PORTION) really took the spotlight!

The service was great! They were so friendly and extremely fast and efficient. I was in and out in 45 minutes! I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend. The ambience of the restaurant was simple with some typical decorating, like wall art and a fish tank. Nothing too special or memorable but still clean and nice!!

The food is so good. I had special mixed fried rice, it was delicious.
The servers are amazing. They updated their menu book.

Ps. I have attached the pictures here.

Was excited to try this place. My husband and I were so disappointed. The atmosphere is very old and tired. Staff was kind, polite and attentive. I got the drunken noodles with shrimp, extra spicy and my husband a pork dish.
His food was bland and mine was not spicy, bland with a few small shrimp. Several people getting to go. Hopefully other things on menu are good. We wont be back to take a chance.

The ONLY place I'll go for Tom Kah! Everything else is good too, but that's the thing that makes Planet Thai stand out for me from other Thai restaurants that overall I'd say are equally good.
I also really like that a lot of the dishes are offered with a variety of meats, tofu or vegetables.
On my most recent visit, there was only one server (who was also the host and also answering the phone for take-out orders), but he did great.

Pad Thai was dry.
Drunken Noodle was a different flavor than usual.

The food are very good. A lot of choices to pick from the menu. I love the Thai iced tea that they have. I bring my family for the birthday party and the stuff are very friendly.

Planet Thai is tucked into one of those strip malls that seem designed for great ethnic food, and it lives up to that setting. We ordered takeout, and the service side of things was smooth and efficient. The staff had our food ready right at the time we requested, which made pickup quick and easy.

As for the food, everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, but the spice levels didn’t match what we ordered. We asked for Thai Hot (a level 5) across the board. What we got was inconsistent: the drunken noodles landed closer to a 2, the curry rice about a 3, and the Thai fried rice maybe a 3.5—but only because we added extra jalapeños. For those who love real heat, you’ll want to be clear and firm about your expectations when ordering.

The appetizers were a high point. The crab rangoon was excellent, crisp and creamy, easily one of the better versions we’ve had in Lexington. The fried wontons paired with plum sauce were also solid, though the sauce consistency made it hard to tell if it was house-made. Either way, it tasted fresh and original.

Overall, Planet Thai is a solid choice for good, flavorful Thai food in Lexington. Just know you may need to insist on the spice level if you want it truly hot.
