I have eaten here before and the food is good and interesting. Since it was late and I didnt want a full meal, I ordered two small plates. Chicken satay, four skewers served with cucmbers and peanut sauce for dipping, was good but a bit bland for my tastes. I was excited to see brocollini bagna cauda on the menu, however I was disappointed when it arrived to find only brocollini with a balsamic drizzle and seasoned panto or bread crumbs, not the traditional anchovy garlic dip...
It was fine. The food was really good. I booked our reservation in purpose and told the person who booked it for me multiple times that it was for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and her birthday was never acknowledged at all during our reservation. Kind of a let down. A cool concept but Poppy and olive is essentially just a kids menu at eppings. Nothing else separates one from the other.
At first the place was hard to find because the building looked different from the pictures. And the name on the front was different. Inside it's very trendy looking and echoes, so kind of hard to hear each other. The food was delicious. The breakfast portions are a tad small but the brunch lunch sizes were perfect. I had eggs Benedict, my parents had biscuits & gravy and shrimp & gits, my hubby had the best dish - chicken & waffles.
