Exceptional BBQ. I had pork, chicken and brisket tacos - all are topped with chilis and some amazing coleslaw. DH is a big eater and got the ribs + 2. He couldn't finish it. Their in-house sauces are both delicious but I favored the sweet and hot combo. They even brought out some brisket DH to try. Great service, people and food! 10/10 will return the next time we're in town!

We stopped in to try this fantastic bbq shop. When we go anywhere I have to try the local bbq and try all the meats. I'm happy I found this gem. 1st time having Kentucky bbq and it was fabulous!! I am used to Texas bbq with the seasonings and bbq sauce. Porterhouse bbq was a wonderful surprise. The sauces are completely different than usual with a sweet spicy kick.We ordered 1 lb of pulled pork which is slightly sweet with a little bit of heat. Massive I mean massive container of meat. Well over a poundThe half rack of ribs are again slightly sweet with a little heat great seasonings tender well smokedBrisket plate was great also great seasonings.The sides though were the perfect addition. Green beans are garlicy and great.Mac n cheese was cheesy with shreds instead of cheese sauce just the way I like it.Smoked cabbage first time trying it and it was good.Wonderful food all the way around.The price was crazzzzzy cheap $50

Legit BBQ with a staff that cares!Fall-off-the-bone ribs, richly flavored bourbon and hot sauces, tangy, garlicky green beans, perfect buns and slaw. We LOVED it, including three little kids who can be quite picky.Generous portions meant we left with an extra meal. The owner was the sweetest lady who gave us some extra samples to try for free.Located in a wonderful area with a selection of eateries and shops. A must visit in Lexington. ????

This BBQ is awesome! Never disappoints I've had the ribs, pulled pork and brisket on several occasions and it's always consistent. Today I took my son for lunch and he had the Mac and Cheese Bowl couldn't eat it all, super size portions. No problem a little snack for later.

Porterhouse BBQ laid the snack down tonight with their first time releasing Beef Short ribs. The bark was on point, excellent smoke ring, texture was porous and tender. Every bite was tasty and mouth watering.As always the Mac and cheese held it down. Cheesy crust layer in every bite or all at once.I can’t recommend this place enough! Killer meal!

I have traveled all over the country and have been to the top/best bbq joints. Each style is different and deserve high ratings based on what type of bbq it is (Carolina vs Memphis vs west Texas, etc). And I have to hats to prove I’ve been there ;-). Hands down, best brisket I’ve ever had. Second, I have a real pet peeve for “pitmasters” who try and sell me Sara Lee food service sides. If you can’t get your sides right then you aren’t a true pitmaster in my book. Side here vary day to day and Wow! They are awesome. I had some smoked cabbage and green beans. Bam! They nailed it. I sincerely hope this place prospers and gets your business. Because it would be a Greek tragedy to have this place go out of business. It’s that good my friend.

By far the best BBQ in Lexington! Brisket was incredibly tender and juicy. You don’t really need sauce but the sweet heat is something else! Believe me you’ll leave stuffed and satisfied. Can’t wait to come back!

Awesome food & portions! Friendly & helpful staff! I had mentioned my husband’s inability to chew foods right now due to teeth removal to make way for dentures. They made helpful suggestions & it worked out beautifully! We were able to enjoy a very tasty dinner together on Easter after all! Thank you Porterhouse! We will definitely be back! Great to have you on the Northside!!??

Ate here for 1st time yesterday. Got a lb of brisket to go. Decided to try a taste before leaving. It was awesome. Tender & juicy. Lots of smokey flavor the way I like it. We told the owner it was delicious & it was our 1st time but wouldn't be our last. He gave us a sample of ribs & they were delicious too. Everybody was very friendly
