Pizza was good. $25 after tip for a personal pizza is not good. What are y’all thinking with these prices? I guess they’re working for you but I can’t afford to go back here.

The pizza was so good!!! We split the large between 2 adults and we were so full. We will be back next time we are in KY!! So funny that they framed some of their 1 star reviews and hung them on the wall 😅

My coworkers and I were there last Wednesday for trivia night. The bourbon bba chicken pizza was great, as was the potato skin appetizer. The pizza seemed to take a while to come out, but they were busy. Trivia was fun, even though the DJ was a bit pedantic.

Staff was super attentive and kind. This was a great place to come for a Sunday afternoon lunch. All ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The atmosphere is laid back in the best way. Awesome spot to chill with friends!

Service is non-existent, they wanted tip but couldn't be bothered to bring napkins to table when served. Had to go to separate line to get drink, choose water so we also had to get that on our own. Pizzas are good but over priced. The franchise in versailles is better. Finally got to last bite of pizza and found a chunk of the pizza oven in it. Luckily it fell off the slice before I took a bite.

I won't punch the wall 😩
We stopped in to celebrate Lexington pizza week and were not disappointed! The pizza was delicious and it was a fun space that was shared with Mirror Twin Brewing.

Good if you’re willing to wait 1 hour for cheese bread on a sleepy Saturday afternoon. Food arrived right as we were leaving. Disappointed and definitely would not eat here again. Come for the beer not the food

I initially tried to order one of the beer + pizza specials directly from Rolling Oven but was redirected to the Mirror Twin bar to place my order. My friends, who didn’t order the special, placed their orders at roughly the same time and were served much faster. I checked on my order multiple times over the next two hours—first being told it would take 15–20 minutes, then later that it was “about to go in the oven.” Despite expressing my frustration, the only response I received was a simple “sorry.”
I understand that the staff working the bar may not have had the ability to resolve the issue directly, and I’m not writing this to blame any individual. My hope is that someone from Rolling Oven management sees this and takes steps to improve the ordering process during busy nights (Tuesday night Bingo). Waiting two hours for food, especially when others are served promptly, is a disappointing experience that could easily be avoided with better coordination.

What a gem of a spot! The vibe is super chill, pet-friendly (which is always a win), and the food? Absolutely top-tier. The jalapeño popper cheese sticks were a flavor bomb, and that whipped feta — wow. As for the pizzas, both the potato chorizo and honey garlic chicken were next-level delicious, especially with that perfectly crisp, chewy crust. Can’t wait to return!

UPDATE JULY 2025: Everything below still applies. We decided against our better judgement to give them another go. Still the same. Food was decent, but they can’t get 2 items ordered at the same time out at the same time. We arrived just before noon on a Saturday. Place was not at all crowded. My wife ordered French toast and I ordered a chicken sandwich. Her food came out about 20 minutes after ordering and mine came out 40 minutes after ordering, so she was finished eating when mine arrived. Totally unacceptable, in my opinion. If there’s a wait on certain dishes then let me know when I order. I’ll be cool with it if you tell me or I’ll order something else. But we didn’t even get an apology for the order delivery discrepancy. Not going back. I also see the supposed owner responding to other reviews posted before and after this one, but doesn’t seem to want to acknowledge mine.
ORIGINAL REVIEW MAY 2025:
We used to go here all the time. The location and atmosphere were always great. Food is overpriced, but was generally always good. However, the service quality has steadily gone down hill. I understand that a lot of the staff are young and inexperienced, but if that’s going to be the case there should be an older, experienced supervisor on hand. Half the time it looks like they’re clueless behind the counter. If you order from the table and make any adjustments, be prepared for your order to be wrong. Extra toppings that you pay for will be left off or you’ll get the wrong stuff. We stopped going after we waited for 45 minutes for the first half of our order and then another 20 for the rest. It’s just too expensive for the service quality, and honestly, the food isn’t really worth the price to begin with. There’s better/as good pizza for the same, or less, elsewhere in Lexington.

We’ve been to Rolling Oven many times and usually always have a long wait time for our food. the other night when we arrived it was busy and we ordered. We ordered a sandwich and a pizza (which was $37!) and after an hour only received the sandwich. The manager said that they’d credited our account for the pizza however that took 2 days before we saw the money credited to our account. I was extremely disappointed in the service. They need better organization and as most restaurants they need to hire more help. And $37 for a pineapple and bacon pizza? Come on….
Have had great experiences with every pizza we have ordered since they opened in Versailles. Service always seems to be a 1 or a 5, but the pizza makes up for it. I will stop going though because Saturday I ordered a pizza for pickup and for the first time Rolling Oven would not take cash. I always try and use cash and tip in cash. With service fees for card transactions, I am not sure why cash has been denied. One less reason to eat in Versailles.

Three hours to get our entire meal that we had to bring home to eat.
Rolling Oven in Mirror Twin Brewing is a must-visit! Fabulous beers and delicious wood-fired pizza made for a perfect meal. A very friendly waitress answered our questions and helped us with our beer selections. We enjoyed a flight featuring a variety of sours, stouts, and pilsners—French Toast was the unanimous favorite at our table!
After choosing our beers, we made our way down the counter to order food, starting with the whipped feta appetizer—tangy, drizzled with honey, and spread over crisp crostini—absolute heaven! The Fat Sticks, a meaty wood-fired pizza with a marinara dipping sauce, were a hit, and the loaded potato pizza had the perfect balance of crispy crust, soft potatoes, and bold flavors.
Today, it was the perfect cozy retreat from the relentless rain, but we can’t wait to come back on a sunny day to enjoy the amazing patio with a cold beer in hand. Highly recommend!
