Best kept surprise in Lexington! The food (Salt & Vinegar) is amazing! Really, top-notch! We had the spätzle and cant wait to try more. The cocktails are great, and the drafts, of course. The people were super nice, knowledgeable about the menu, and helpful. What a great spot and somewhere that hit the top quality bell. We'll be back often... compliments to the chef(s)! And still hoping to find the brews (Ethereal) in stores!

Great environment and good drinks. The food left me unimpressed. I asked for well done, not burnt on the outside and raw on the inside!

Chef Spaulding and his staff are absolutely top notch! Zero waste, scratch kitchen that’s dedicated to sourcing quality ingredients. Food is always fantastic and staff is always delightful✨.

Our group walked over from the Marriott. Ethereal is a wonderful pub with great atmosphere and service. Beverage selections are numerous and food is very good

Their hours say they close at 3 PM. I stopped in at 2:45. They weren’t serving. When I worked in a restaurant, hours meant guest would be served until closing. This nomadic place needs to grow up and be a big boy restaurant. Their food is great. Their commitment to follow through on hours needs work.

Definitely was a huge fan of this place until my most recent encounter. I was demanded my credit card (even after stating that I was paying cash) to begin a "tab" as I was in the middle of making my order like I was some type of criminal that hadn't eaten there several times before, brought people in there and bragged excessively about the place. Fries became cold after the server walked around the entire restaurant for 5 solid minutes asking every indiviual if they ordered the particular meal with the exception of myself as I tried to unsuccessfully flag her down. I had to ask to pay my bill several times as the same server was behaving weirdly, seemed unfocused on the task at hand and behaving excessively goofy with the staff. As time passed, I really had to use the bathroom and my cash and check still hadn't been picked up despite them passing by several times. After I asked again, the server took my bill and cash, commented that she thought I was paying with credit card. As she proceeded to count the change at an extremely abnormally slow pace while staring at me, she stopped another server to advise them that I looked very annoyed, like right in front of me. At that point, after the comment, I did become annoyed, and provided the feedback that I have had much better experiences in the past after she asked how everything was. As I got up to leave (without tipping) she loudly asked what the problem was. Not wanting to have this turn in to a scene, I walked out. This was very ackward and embarassing as I had previously been served by this server before and had no issues. There was no call for rudeness or the comment. This occasion was a solo trip for me so I wonder if parties of one just get last priority here or if the server was just not into it on this particular day. I did try to call a few times to follow up to handle with management before making this review but no one ever answered the phone. Not sure if the employee was Ethereal's or Salt and Vinegar's, but regardless, their behavior killed this experience for me and it will take some time for me to come back. It's a shame because the food is delicious. Portions small... but delicious. On a side note, I usually leave greater than 25% gratuity. Edit 10/20/2022 @ 12:15pm: I appreciate the reply from the owner. It means a great deal to me to hear such a heart felt, sincere response. I feel a great deal more welcome to return than I previously had. I will come back sometime in the not very distant future and adjust this review accordingly to reflect my cumulative experience with the restaurant.

What a joy to stop in a restaurant like this. They source protein/animals that are thoughtfully raised (you can taste it) and they do their part by using equally thoughtful technique and an exceptional flavor profile while cooking the plates. So glad I stopped in. The entire staff and patrons are equally a joy as well. Thanks again!

Absolutely fantastic! Such great, friendly service from Nancy and the food was absolutely incredible! Literally, a fine-food scratch kitchen is hiding in this place with food that had us scraping our plates. Great beer, great cocktails, incredible food from Salt & Vinegar....definitely our new go-to spot.

Went to Salt n Vinegar at Etherial Pub downtown and it was absolutely amazing. From the pretzel to the spatzel to the hangar steak. Everything was amazing. Met the owner/chef Greg and he was absolutely fantastic and very accommodating. Strongly recommend to anyone!
