best š£ sushi. best service. absolutely loved these ppl. the food was amazing. hands down best place I've been.
We visited School Sushi while visiting for the wknd from Ohio ⦠our servers name was Joe & I have never been treated so poorly at a restaurant until tonight. He put in our order wrong & then blatantly blamed it on us when we said we didnāt receive the right items - and then instead of making it right for us, he was rude & walked away from the table. We ate our dinner - which was below average imo for a sushi restaurant & never received our soup order even after finishing our dinner - when we asked Joe about the soup - he said in a very rude manner to us that it was our fault for placing the wrong order & then again walked away .. Iām literally so upset that myself, husband, my 82 yr old mother and my two teenage girls were treated with such disrespect while we were trying to have a nice dinner while on vacation. He was the rudest server Iāve ever had in my entire life.
Food is garbage!! It shouldnāt even be considered food at all.
First off, Joe is one of the best servers my wife and I have ever met.
Second - I lived in Japan for 4 years and have been wanting Japanese curry since I left⦠this is the real stuff! Amazing.
For the chefs: I loved to go to Cocoās and have a couple requests. Your curry is better but would love another level of spicyš¶ļø. Second, is garlic cheese naan bread a thing? I didnāt even ask Joe, but I was laying in bed thinking about it⦠with some honeyā¦
Amazing service, Amazing Food!!! Joe and chef, along with all the staff are rockstars. Made my wifes 40th bday unforgettable. Thank you guys.
Went here for a girls night on a Tuesday night . It wasnāt packed at all which was so nice ! We all had ramen and sushi . I tried the tan tan noodles (8.5/10) very great flavor and I liked that the pork was ground up and not just sliced like traditional ramen usual has, the broth also had a very nice subtle kick to it from the chili oil . We also got regular edamame and some edamame Peperoncino with had such nice flavor 100% recommend . The garlic was so flavorful ! And last we got sushi , I got the spicy crunch roll and I really enjoyed it (8/10) a friend got the basic fried California roll but she took out avocado and added cream cheese which was a great idea ! The cream cheese was so warm and creamy and worked really well with the tempura out layer.
Excellent service. Very patient and attentive to our kids. Food was excellent.
Aside from a beautiful venue with a vault, super tasty sushi, and a family recipe curry which was beautiful, our server was wonderful. The kids loved his service and interaction and attentiveness. Much love from the Windy City. You folks are the BEST!!
Best in Lexington and its not even close
I hate to post a bad review of an independent restaurant but about an hour after our meal I started violently evacuating from both ends, for the next several hours. My wife likewise had to wake up the middle of the night with GI distress. The only thing we both had was the chicken karage.
The meal itself was fine. Kitchen a little understaffed with the first entree of our 6 person group coming out about 20 minutes from the last entree served. The food itself was average to slightly above average. Mediocre ramen and good sushi/cutlet rice dishes. Not a bad meal, but not worth the food poisoning.
Please take this as an opportunity to reexamine food storage, safety, and handling.

Honestly the best service and sushi in Lexington. You genuinely feel like family walking into the building, ken the chef is absolutely a god among men. I can't express how welcoming Cody is and how the whole team makes sure the experience is grade A.
Fairly typical sushi restaurant.
I had a hair in my food which I pointed out to the person who brought my food. No action was taken. I have been here before. The food and service were both better on my first visit. I don't think i would go here again.
I got the Honey Bee sushi roll & Spiced Fries (Consomme Punch), and it was $25.97 thru DoorDash. Both tasted decent but rating it 4/5 bc price was too expensive for what it was.
I only ordered thru DoorDash for takeout pickup bc the phone didnāt work every time I called, like it was out of service. I was a little worried bc I wanted to make an adjustment to the Honey Bee roll to be only salmon and my little note to request disappeared on the DoorDash receipt. However, everything I ordered with the accommodation was correct and the workers were great & friendly during pickup.
While food tasted decent, I just thought price wasnāt worth it! Consomme punch fries were crinkles fries with fair amount of seasoningānot spicy and maybe paprika based? Honey bee roll was good with the honey mayo but it seemed like shrimp and tempura were sparse & separated (rather than a shrimp tempura piece fried together). I was still quite hungry & would get again if thereās a decent coupon from DoorDash!
The food and the service is awesome. Highly recommendedā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
