Ordered online-beet salad & sweet potato fries. What could be hard about that? They had my email & phone #. Never notified order was ready. Picked up cold sweet potato fries and cannot tell you how much bad/slimy lettuce was in the salad. Just hope I don’t get sick because I noticed it after consuming some of the greens.

We have always had excellent food at Sedona Palomar. We arrived on a Friday night at 8 pm, expecting to wait due to the time of evening and the full parking. We were seated right away, but still expected a wait for ordering. Dani was THE BEST! She promptly took our order for drinks, appetizer and meals, and immediately returned with the drinks. The appetizer arrived shortly thereafter, piping hot and delicious! She returned within 10 minutes or so with our meal, and asked if she could go ahead and box up the remaining appetizer. Our meals were wonderful, per usual, and our drinks were never empty. Dani truly made this one of the most pleasurable dining experiences by being so prompt and efficient. Thank you, Dani!

Heading over to Afghanistan. I was there at a social gathering. I had the salmon with their corn. It had sweet peppers in it or something. It was really good along your mashed potatoes which were out of this world, Great! Highly recommend if you can afford it!!

The-Line
The short version: Don't waste your time or money
The GOOD: The beer selection is always extensive, the wine selection usually provides something for everyone, and the cocktails are usually on point. Unfortunately, that is about the only good I have left to say.
The BAD: Pretty much everything else you come to a restaurant for falls into here these days. The food is mid at best. General food quality has gone down substantially. The meat quality is no where near what it once was here, the kitchen prep is generally speaking horrible, and I would say of the last 3-4 visits at least one person in our party (usually more) have had to send item back.
Next would be service, and when I say this has become abysmal, I can not stress enough how bad this has gotten. On multiple visits we have had servers that are obviously heavily intoxicated, be that alcohol or (more frequently) something more exotic. Today's visit, and what is in all likelihood my last, we never even got served. We went to the bar and sat at the outside portion of the bar on the patio. After 15 minutes of no service (there was a couple already seated and eating at the bar), I went inside to make very sure they were serving the patio bar, I stood at the inside bar for almost 10 minutes where I was never acknowledged nor could I even get either of the bartenders to come down to speak with me. Looking across their bar, 2 couple had empty glasses, and one of the couples was very clearly not happy about the duration of their wait. At this point, we gave up and elected to leave after having been in the restaurant for over 20 minutes and not even getting a glass of water.
Ultimately, Sedona Taphouse at Palomar is clearly in its death spiral. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in town, but it has eroded to the point I just can't even give them any more chances. The food quality is just not there anymore, the food preparation isn't good, and the service is arguably some of the worst in town. I just can no longer recommend Sedona Taphouse, and I very likely won't be back.
