First time at this location. It's been quite a few years since we have been to Smashing Tomatoes due to moving out of state. Sizes of pizza and salad are smaller, but still enough to fill you up. Pizza wasn't as tasty as I remember it, but still good.
Not much service happening. They've converted into having guests place their own orders at the table. You got a pizza craving, this is absolutely one of the few solid places to go!
My absolute favorite place for a grilled chicken caesar salad and tiramisu. I REALLLLLLLLLY miss the caramel topping on the tiramisu. Please bring it back even just as an optional topping!! I miss it so dearly. Also Brooke (spelling??) is the best manager!
My favorite pizza place in Lexington, but they have a variety of menu items I like this style of pizza. The Mediterranean with added olive tapenade is about the tastiest thing going for my pizza palate. They go the extra step by using water buffalo mozzarella that is imported from Italy. It makes a good pizza great in my opinion.
The sheet music bread (and) pizza dipped in olive oil and their signature herbs is always a bonus for me.
I’ve dived here for decades, or at least since they’ve opened. If the manager is on shift, she always drops by our table to discuss what’s new and coming up. I like that. The staff generally is friendly and helpful.
The family who owns and operates Smashing and Bella Notte really does things right. I’ve always been impressed. I’m s fairly regular customer at those location. A pretty good value for my bucks.
Oh, good fresh salads, too!
The best pizza. Delivery is awful. Pizza is constantly delivered late and cold. Happened the 1st time I ordered and it just happened again today. 21 minutes delayed. pizza is cold.
Great Pizza Place. First time trying a margherita pizza and it was delicious. Staff were super nice and it was ready in under 15 minutes. Need one in northeast Ohio now.

The food here is amazing (pizza, their original salad, and especially the tomato basil soup), but the wait at peak business times is atrocious. It always takes at least 45 minutes to get food at this “fast casual” pizza joint, sometimes 50 minutes to an hour. Tonight, we waited over an hour on one 12 pizza after the rest of the food came out, and finally had to leave without getting it so we wouldn’t miss a movie. Thankfully, the staff was reasonable enough to give us a refund for that item. I highly recommend eating here, but maybe try it on a week night when the kitchen can better keep up with orders.

While visiting Lexington I had to try some pizza. We stopped here at the Smashing Tomato Italian Pizza. I got the Americano which is Cheese and Pepperoni, wood fired. Also ordered breadsticks. The breadsticks came up first, they had good flavor and were definitely woodfired with nice charred undercarriage. The pizza was just so so unfortunately. The dough had little flavor except for the wood fire, the red sauce was very light, with light flavor. The majority of the flavor came from the cheese and Pepperoni. The cheese is creamy and milky tasting. The Pepperoni had a nice spice to it. The undercarriage wasn't charred at all, and the pizza had a lot of flop. Employees were very nice and quick. Atmosphere was nothing to speak of. It did have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Had some beers on hand as well.

I really enjoy the Margherita pizza. Have eaten it half dozen times. Crust is bubbly and chewy. Sauce is tasty. Fresh mozzarella and basil make it attractive too. The parmesan breadsticks are absolutely delicious! Tried the artichoke dip and the sunny heirloom pizza but both were way too salty for my taste.

I enjoy this type of pizza quite a bit and the aesthetic of the restaurant was a nice change from the clinical modern feel of most nowadays but still quite clean.
Getting and placing your order isn't very clear, so we ended up waiting around for a while before just sitting down and placing our order via a QR code at the table.
The food was quite good, but had a bit of a burnt taste to it and the bottom of our bread sticks were a smidge dark. It did not bother me at all, but my group was not a fan. The garlic sauce is absolutely the best thing we ate. I would definitely go again!
