Smashing Tomato Pizzeria at Hamburg

The best pizza. Delivery is awful. Pizza is constantly delivered late and cold. Happened the 1st time I ordered and it just happened again today. 21 minutes delayed. pizza is cold.

Our group of 6 stopped here for lunch. Fresh pizza, great service and all round fantastic place to grab a meal. We had a fairly big order and the food came out really fast. The pizza tasted great. Service was excellent.

10.16.2024: I visited this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. I appreciate that you can order from the table via a QR code. The pizza was cooked quickly and both pizzas had a unique and delicious flavor profile. The chef brought the pizza to the table and he checked on us at an appropriate time during our visit. The reason for the four stars is because we also got salads and the lettuce was not fresh. I had browning pieces scattered throughout. My husband had also ordered ranch dressing on his salad but it came out with balsamic. Very good size salads for a “half” salad and I appreciated the bread on the side.

I love Smashing Tomato, I grew up eating here! My family used to take me and my brother for kids night. Now I'm in college and my friend is driving all the way from Richmond to pick it up for us!

We would come to this location almost weekly. The food is honestly really good at these locations. I unfortunately will not be visiting this location again. A guest was allowed to bring their dog to their table. Dog was sitting on the both and licking crumbs off of the table. When I asked management about this the response I received was "I'm not allowed to ask if it's a service animal so there is nothing I can do". I do know that is incorrect but I was not about to argue. Service animals are one thing. This dog was climbing on the booth and the table. We will not be returning to this location and I really hate saying that.

Ordered delivery 2 hours before we needed it. Late and cold. Pretty disappointing as we read such good reviews. Why would you not keep the pizza in a warmer bag when delivering?

Great place for lunch or dinner. I sat a the bar the bartender was friendly and offered recommendations. Not my favorite pizza place in Lexington but definitely in my top 3. My pizza was a little too doughy for my liking but plenty of toppings and their pizza sauce is delicious. I got the smashed donte, was good but will try something different next time. The original chopped salad was fresh and was a perfect side to my pizza. Washed down with a glass of wine it was a nice dinner after a long day at work.
