My granddaughters wanted to try a slushy so we went to sonic on Richmond rd. We had looked up their menu and there was a picture of a red, white and blue slushy that looked good. We ordered it and I promise, there was not nothing about the drink we got that even resembled the drink we ordered. It was barely frozen, the colors were all mushed together into a nasty dark purplish mess. The cup was only 2/3 full. Their machine was either broken or the person who made it didn't know how to do it. We also got a corn dog which was not even hot, and was soggy. I have photos of the drink.... they should never have served it.
Have been there many times in the least, but do not plan on going back!
Great for the nostalgia of pulling up to a speaker and ordering your food. The food is fresh
Do not recommend all the way around that’s all
i came through the drive thru with my friend, and we asked to place two orders and they said they couldn’t. no big deal, we pulled up through the window to pay for her order and they sat there staring at us until we said she had an oder. the worker at the window proceeded to yell at the worker in the back who took our order, saying our order wasn’t there. this went on for several minutes until they resolved it.
we then went to the stall to place my order, to which i just wanted a limeade slush. it comes out promptly, but tasted insanely strong of cleaning chemicals. i’m currently pregnant , so my first assumption was that my taste buds were off. i had my friend taste it and she also agreed it tasted like cleaning chemicals. i was so upset by this, i immediately discarded and left. i didn’t even want to bother getting a second drink, not trusting a thing in that facility after the way my drink tasted.

Saw a TikTok warning not to go here. Lady found a baby mouse in her drink! She has proof that she provided too. Health department has been called.

DO NOT GO HERE! The utter disrespect these workers have is ridiculous! I went through the drive through after a long day at work to get a food order for me and my fiance to be told I cant do 2 separate orders unless I go to the screens “oh but the screens are closed so I can only take one order” I just wanted to pay with two separate forms of payment and they declined that aswell. They must of scraped these workers off the pavement and hired them for a buck fifty for the disrespect and attitude they had.

Being one of the last Sonic in the area, I have enjoyed coming here when I visit Lexington.
It's handy to be open 24hrs with plenty of parking nearby.
But at night only drive through is open so it's a considerable wait. Nothing as bad as I've seen at competitors.
Hopefully Zonic recovers and can grow again. But I'll try to support them occasionally. It's hard to not like coneys and fresh tots.

This Sonic is bad. They treat customers like a nuisance and food as an afterthought.

I typically don't write negative reviews, but here we are. This location somehow managed to mess up every part of my order.
So after waiting in line for 20 mins - Soda was flat, tots were basically just dumped in the bag and half cold by the time I got them, the new 'smasher' burger amounted to nothing more than one of the small $2.50 double cheese burgers but just with a different sauce on it. Finally the Reese's + cookie dough blast I ordered ended up being some strange mix where the top and bottom 10% of the icecream was vanilla, with the other 80% in the middle being chocolate ice cream. I'm not even sure what to call that... - oh, and no cookie dough, just Reese's. In all fairness it wasn't terrible, but not what I ordered and kind of strange.
I would normally just go on about my day and chalk it up to a bad experience but I've had a couple similar, less than great visits here over the past few months and judging by other reviews it's not just me. The Franchisee or whoever is in charge needs to seriously step up their game, I'd be embarrassed if this was my location.
Anyway, thanks for that $18 headache Sonic.
