I have been dying to try this place since it opened and Taco Week gave me that extra push! I met up with a few friends and we tried their The Bananarama Taco. It was delicious! The space is a super cute and quaint spot for people just walking around downtown Lexington. A place people should check out and a great place for family dessert.

This is one of three Spotz Gelato, central Kentucky, brick and mortar locations. This one is in downtown Lexington, in the former Clawdaddy's location. Don't let the downtown location deter you from stopping in though. If you're not in the mood for coming in, they offer free curbside pickup. Beth and Phillip, the owners started the businesses with a spotted, bright pink, renovated camper. One time I caught a glimpse of them cutting up the fresh fruit for the gelato at this location. To say that they make the gelato on-site, is just a brief description of the local gelato that you'll get from Spotz. They have a vast variety of flavors to choose from. I have a hard time straying from the best version of banana pudding that I've ever had... in gelato form. If you've not tried gelato... do! It's similar to ice cream, but better.

We absolutely Spotz! We go once a week to the Georgetown location. We haven't tried a flavor we don't LOVE! But our favorites are banana pudding, cookies and cream, and peanut butter! Try it, you won't regret it!

I can’t believe how good every single flavor is! They definitely have something for everyone! Even the vanilla is out of this world and I don’t even like vanilla! The floats make me feel like a kid again! The shop is adorable! It was the perfect place to go before a UK game. And the girls behind the counter were great and helped me find just the right flavor.

I love this cute place! I was downtown for the Christmas tree lighting in the square with my fam, several who love ice cream, so I mentioned that we should stop in and try this new gelato spot. Everyone loved it. My husband had attended the Yelp event several months ago and I had been meaning to come check it out because he raved about it too. I am glad I finally tried it. Will definitely be back. The portion sizes are quite generous and the flavors are great!
