Friday out I stopped by to grab some food and the woman and young boy are there they take my order and I’m almost at the register to pay food done and the husband walks in and speaks another language and tell the son to tell my two children and toy poodle they have to wait outside. I cancelled the entire finished order! He didn’t even ask if it was a service animal and as I said we were at the register. I guess they have inventory and food to waste. So much for my local family business. Will be going to Walmart subway from now on

Let me start out with an indisputable fact: Jimmy John's and Jersey Mike's are better than Subway. The submarine market is saturated and Subway comes in last. Now, that doesn't mean that Subway can't find a way to make it in this environment. But if they are going to, it is going to have to be with lower pricing and incredible customer service. And that ain't happening. Like a lot of you, I hadn't been to Subway in years. Hadn't even thought of the place. But, I received in the mail some Subway coupons that made me think of them again. In the current inflationary nightmare we're in, I was simply willing to accept less of a sandwich if I could save a nickel. So, I gave it a go. I went to four separate Subways in Lexington, including this one, to try and use a coupon. Not one would accept them. In fact, they has signs printed and posted proudly proclaiming that they would refuse to take them. The question that comes to mind is, "Why?" This is a losing proposition for them. We have already established that their submarines are inferior. They won't budge on price even when presented with a national coupon, and there is no service with a smile when you have signs printed which basically say "Go Elsewhere". I did go elsewhere. I found a place that would accept coupons. But the real damage to these shops isn't what happened on this day. The damage comes from the fact that I and others like me won't be going back to try it again. I'm simply not going to waste my time and energy when I've already been turned away. The market is just way too competitive for that (see first paragraph). And yet, I'm dumbfounded trying to answer, "Why?"

I downloaded the app and was excited there was a bogo offer for subs on it. Tried to order from here and the app notified me this location wasn’t accepting coupons.I was really bummed about that. I know times are tough for businesses, but it seems a little disingenuous to not use coupons. I still got my family’s subs there anyway, and they were fine, but next time I’m going to go to the Subway by Trader Joe’s because it seems that they still accept coupons, and that’s a big deal to me.

The guy saw a coupon in my hand and basically yelled at me that they accept no coupons. I live a half mile away and they don't even honor the corporate coupon flyer mailed to me. They assume that being located in a yuppie area that don't need to. I will tell all my friends to avoid this location. Subway you can do better!! No wonder Jersey Mike's etc. are coming up so much.

I order from this Subway with the Subway app once a week it seems. Every time I do they always have my order on time. One complaint is they didn’t toast my bread a couple times but that might not be their fault. Could be faulty technology on Subway’s app. Overall, very nice staff. Great place to grab a sub.

My sandwich was prepared perfectly and in no time at all. The owner is friendly and will joke with you. There was plenty of free parking right out in front. You can tap your phone at the cash register and use Google pay or Apple pay if you want. There was no wait when I got there on Sunday after church.
