Blue Heron Steakhouse totally lived up to our expectations and then some! It's cozy and quaint and Lacey took great care of us. The food was amazing. The steaks were high quality and grilled exactly as we liked. The sides were delicious as well. The dark chocolate mousse was heavenly and paired nicely with the remaining Cabernet Sauvignon I had left after supper. We were seated by the fireplace, and upon closer inspection, the chandelier is made from old Maker's Mark bottles. I love the exposed brick as well.

Anniversary today, so we finally tried The Blue Heron. The Baked Brie Appetizer was average. My wife ordered the petite filet medium. It came out mid rare and, to be blunt, bland. I ordered the lamb chops, which were pretty good. What we found particularly annoying was that we each upgraded a side and instead of charging us the $2.50 additional cost for each side they charged us the full $8 for each one. Note that each entree came with two sides included and we both only ordered one regular side so they actually ripped us off $11.00 as each side is priced at $5.50. Instead of conning your customers just be up front with them.

Only reason it's not a perfect rating was they lost my reservation 2 weeks before we actually dined there. Didn't get the most pleasant service from the host

Service and atmosphere were both excellent. Unfortunately we found the food to be somewhat average. Steak was overcooked, and salad was not prepared as my wife requested. Have enjoyed previous experiences, but found the food somewhat disappointing especially given the price.

Staff was fantastic, attending to needs but not "hovering". Place was quiet and perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Nice cocktail menu - try the Blue Herron 46 or Lexington Lilly. Food was wonderful as well - 40oz porterhouse was cooked perfectly and with four sides, we each were able to select our favorite dishes.

My husband is a MD guy and he LOVED the crab cake appetizer (it was a special not on the menu). Really, really good. We also had the blackened Halibut fantastic! We enjoyed the broccoli (me) and spinach (him) sides as well.I got the Blue Heron drink, and the waitress warned me to mix before drinking up the apricot with toothpick is not enough. Ask for a spoon. It was a February night when it snowed 2" and they had the fireplace going and the temperature was very warm. So cozy. One of the best meals we have had in Lexington!

Servers were great. The parking guy was super annoying and in the way. Food was just average. Really cool ambience/atmosphere. Margarita was not very good, have had much better. Overall good experience but def not as good as Eppings or Carson's.

Had an awesome Valentine’s Day dinner! Filet mignon cooked to perfection and our awesome server Lacey sold me on the special, blackened halibut, and it was absolutely delicious!! Such a romantic, cozy place for date night. Can’t wait to come back!

Great service from the parking lot to the dinner table. Parking attendant “made” a space for us, hospitable greeting at the door, friendly hostess, smiling Tom provided efficient and quick table service, and the food was delicious. Our first trip but will not be our last. ?

We went to the restaurant on advice from a friend. We went not knowing what to expect and boy we were suprised! Great atmosphere and very cozy. We were seated near the fireplace and was immediately attended to by Wes, our waiter. Very friendly and informative as to the contents of the menu. In my opinion the food was better than most 5 star restaurants! Great service, great food and an affordable price The Blue Heron will have my continued business!!

It was our first time there and the atmosphere was wonderful, very intimate and relaxing. Celebrating a birthday and it was just nice to just enjoy each others company. The restaurant was very dark but we didn't mind. We order the crab cake, tenderloin (medium) and they gave us a free cheese cake for the birthday we were celebrating. We got the Lexington Lilly and old fashioned cocktail. (they were delicious). Our steak was more on the medium rare side but we didn't mind. Our server Tom was excellent, we will be back! The price was a little more than expected due to the crab cake ( we were unaware of the price 24.00) we only got one. So we probably won't get that again, it was also a special.

We went to blue Heron to celebrate Valentine's Day enjoyed it so much as we always do it's one of my husband's favorites. He always gets the lamb chops and I got the salmon and a crabcake for an appetizer. Everything was delicious. Looking forward to our next trip.
