Always 5 stars! Great little place to hang out. They have several little areas, corn hole and firepit. It's right beside the creek, so atmosphere is amazing!

The place is beautiful and located in a great location for pregaming a Burl show.Great fire pit!We encountered a “regular” who made a point to passive aggressively bully me for asking for a homemade whiskey sour….saying”yeah these people coming in here asking for craft cocktails is ruining the atmosphere “Dude, there’s 3 people in the bar… you best start serving craft cocktails and being nice to people if you plan to stay open….I made a comment about the Cat that was on the bar…something like…awww look at the cat…so the bartender walks straight over and hangs a bar towel up so you can’t see the cat…. Again- passive aggressiveJust be niceSell drinks worth drinkingSell foodStay open

This is an awesome place to just hang out and have a few drinks. I highly recommend going to the Break Room if you are in Lexington's Distillery District.

After multiple occasions of being at the break room, and to be able to develop a true understanding of this establishment, and not to be based off of first impressions. This place honestly just does not fit the vibe. I feel like they’re so “free spirited” to the point where they create their own rules, but they’re ridiculous. For example; I visually watched them allow an unleashed dog to roam around inside the bar/establishment, but not allow a child who is holding the hand of their parents and cannot go elsewhere. Where does this make sense? The math is not mathing. There are other ridiculous occasions I have witnessed at this establishment, but this one just truly stood out to me. The other establishments at the distillery district allow kids, dogs and all people to come as they are and be as they are. However, the break room does not. Which makes sense as to why this establishment is the least busiest out of the other establishments in this location. I’m rating this establishment 2 stars ONLY because they make good drinks, but you best meet their qualifications for friendly service. Not at all a welcoming establishment, but definitely has good drinks.

I'll say this: I find all the other negative reviews 100% believable.

If you don't know about this place, it's probably related to not being cool enough.

Female bartender was somewhat rude. Like she got upset if you asked for a splash of something in your drink... not a

Local water hole for me! I love the Distillery District and this bar helped start it all! (Tyler Childers played here before he made it big time! If you don't know who that is - don't come here! JK kinda) Good priced- well poured drinks, fire pit, covered back porch on the Elkhorn Creek, live music inside and outside on the stage during the warm months. Lot of "regulars," including myself, along with "middle age vibes" seems to keep the college kids at bay. Maybe the bikers too hahah! Let the Burl Arcade have 'em lol. Vintage bike/car night first Tuesday of every month, and other cool events! Middle Fork food truck is close by at Wise Bird, and of course Goodfellas Pizza is always a good choice after some dranks!

Bouncers allowed beligerent patrons to berate a person in my party. Refused to do anything about it. Would not recommend.

Truly one of the most bizarre experiences I've ever had at a bar. Two of my friends and I walked in and sat down at the bar and everyone in the place, patrons and workers, looked very bothered at us for doing so. It was like we were intruding on their evening. The bartender reluctantly served us some domestic light beers after letting us just sit there for about 10 minutes, even though there were only 4 other people in the bar. She then started shouting profanity angrily to one of the regulars, complaining about something. They then attempted to make us leave by blasting Dixie Chicks as loud as they possibly could, thinking 3 males in their 30s would hate it. But their plan backfired because Cowboy Take Me Away is just objectively a great song. Once they realized that the music wasn't making us want to leave, the bartender just yelled out "Okay the bar is closed, please get out." And that was that. I'm pretty sure this happened at least an hour before they were supposed to close. Seems like a cool little dive bar, but don't waste your time if you're not part of the club I guess.
