The hotel lobby and restaurant are nice, until you walk the halls and step into the very dated rooms. The carpet is ripped and frayed, it smells, it is very old. The bathroom sink stopper was stuck down, so the sink wouldn't drain. The tub was so chipped it cut my feet. For a Curio collection at $140 a night I was very disappointed. I won't stay there again. As a Diamond member who has traveled all over, I believe Hilton should stop and take a look at how this hotel represents their brand.

Rooms: Outdated, unkept, smelly. Very small bathroom.

Such an absolute gem in the Bluegrass. The elegant decor and extensive woodworking of the lobby alone is enough to let you know that you aren't in a boring chain hotel. The rooms are well kept and the staff is extremely helpful.

Don't forget to check out the restaurant and bar. The food is great and the bourbon is extensive.

Food and drinks: Incredible food at The Rackhouse Tavern.

The Executive Chef, TJ, at the on-site restaurant, The Rackhouse Tavern, was so personable and absolutely phenomenal. Food was excellent! And loved Brandon our bartender. And the hotel itself is so charming and great service. Definitely coming back!

Looking forward to staying at the Campbell House Inn, but we were so disappointed. The outside of the hotel is lovely, but the room we stayed in was awful. It was small, but the bathroom was even smaller. Also felt very unsafe in the bath tub as there was no grab bar on the main wall and the floor of tub was slippery. No amenities in the room like a refrigerator and nowhere to put your items. I had to put up the ironing board to have a surface to use for things we needed out of the suitcase.
We lived in Lexington for several years and this was a return visit after being away for over 10 years. Hampton Inn has this place beat by 100%.

Me and my went to breakfast 10-26-2024 around 8:30. And we sat down and waiter went to everyone else before he came to us. We sat down about 10 minutes before everyone else did. And we waited patiently and didn’t say anything. He didn’t asked how we was doing or how was the food.

I’ll start this review by saying that I hosted a corporate event at the Campbell house for some of my key accounts working with Jason and the staff at this hotel has been absolutely fabulous. Their attention to detail, friendliness, and flexibility are second to none.

What a fantastic hotel, near Keenland race track and UK campus Made it the ultimate destination. Thank you again and hopefully I can stay here again in the near future!

Good hotel overall, room was quaint and basic but the location was great and the rack house restaurant downstairs was great.

The lobby and restaurant would be any easy 4 stars but the location and rooms made us give it a 3. There were no extras - no pool, spa, shop… just the one restaurant and a tiny sundries shop were we paid 9$ for ONE allergy tablet. The halls desperately need a renovation and the bathrooms were ‘redone’ cosmetically only - still had small tubs and old showers. Rooms looked nice and beds were comfortable. TV was big and plenty of closet space and drawers. We paid around $200 for a weeknight and close to $400 for Friday night. It felt expensive for the experience we had. And we heard many sirens due to the hospital near by :(

Once you get past the lobby, the website is deceiving and the hotel isn't the nice equestrian boutique hotel it portrays. It is the quality of a dive motel to say the least. The rooms still have extremely loud wall ac units. On our second night, it was making funny noises and wasn't cooling our room at all. We told the front desk and they said they would send an engineer. Came back to a totally non-functioning unit that didn't even turn on. Engineer came back and restored it to the way it was the previous night, funny noises and not really working. It was 80 degrees outside and at time it was blowing heat. The couple we were with had to change rooms because nothing worked - ac unit, toilet wouldn't flush and the shower did not drain. The restaurant food is average at best and the service is extremely slow and wait staff is not friendly.

This is a classic type old hotel that has some nice updates in decor, but lacks some basic maintenance & upkeep. I can overlook the worn out needed repairs, but I can’t ignore the very toxic smells in the room. It is not acceptable to anyone who wants to breathe. Particularly, not acceptable to migraine sufferers or anyone sensitive to smell. It is just toxic. I am not sure if I can even stay here without becoming very sick. The halls don’t smell but the windows are screwed shut & we all are just victims of horrific “air freshener”. I stay in hotels a lot, and have never had this happen. No hooks in the bathroom, broken things. I can see that they are trying to update, which I respect the effort, but doesn’t make up for the toxic “cleaning” smell.
Update! I have determined the toxic smell is the big shampoo, soap & lotion bottles. This is a new thing in many Hilton brand hotels, but the chosen scent is unnatural & migraine triggering. The fragrance needs to be removed. Or fragrance free rooms need to be provided. I go to Hilton hotels all over the US & the sick, sweet, poison smell was far worse here. I googled how to removed the bottles put them in a laundry bag, set them outside & problem solved.

Please read other reviews of this place and don’t stay here; I should’ve listened. This is not a 4 star hotel, I’m not sure why it’s listed as one. The front lobby is so beautiful, but once you get to the room….no.
I came for graduation and booked a suite through a third party. It was pre paid, but my card for check in was authorized for the price of the room plus $300 incidentals (!!). No one could figure out what it was.
The rooms need soooo much updating. We had a suite with the sink falling off the wall, cracked tiles, and the rug is gross. The smell in the hallways is musty.

Rooms: The rooms need some major updating and the rug either needs to be replaced or just trashed.

Another stunning Curio collection hotels and resorts by Hilton. The decor, ambience, rooms and breakfast are unique. Hotels like these make long work weeks and business trips sustainable. Thank you for making class and superb customer service available to families like ours that travel a lot for work.
