The rooms are decent, but there is no fridge or microwave. They have good water pressure but for as fancy of a hotel as this is they have no pool and a sub-par gym. The restaurants food is way to expensive for its quality. The food is bland and overcooked, I mean how do you cook the taste and flavor out of bacon. Seriously it was one step above charcoal but tougher than jerkey. My 6 yr old could have made a better breakfast. If Gordan Ramsey ever came here, nobody in the hotel would get any sleep because he would be yelling non stop about how filterd water had more taste than the eggs. As for the service it took me 30mins to get a refill on my coffee and I had to get up and go get my check because of the lack of attention.

Lifetime Diamond Member- This was the absolute WORST Hilton we have ever experienced! How is this a Curio Collection Property?!
The most concerning aspect of this stay was the adjoining room door not having a lock on it. Simply open it and step into the adjoining room. We arrived late in the evening and didn’t discover this until morning. When front desk staff was alerted to issue- they were very non- chalant about it….. stating there should be locks on both sides. There were not. SUPER UNSAFE! No sense of urgency to correct this issue- not to mention no place to put toiletries in bathroom and a soggy tub that sloped during our morning showers. No in room refrigerators and blood stains on the duvet. No duvet covers-just the sandwich technique with sheets below and on top. No luggage racks to keep suitcases off the floor. If I could give zero stars on the room- I would. Shame on you, Hilton- Do better!

Do not book here. After a 13 hour drive from Florida the room was not up to par; No fridge, no counter space, and no closet??? This place is a disaster. On top of that- dried blood stains on the duvet. This is by far the most disappointing Hilton i’ve ever been to- pictures online are deceiving.

I had the colt king. The room is small. I mean really small. It was clean but the tub was badly stained on one end. When I walked through door 6 (yes, they are labeled) it smelled like my grandma's house. Let's talk service. People are very nice so that is the reason there is not a one star from me. The don't have enough staff in restaurant. This was for dinner and breakfast. You also waited for over 5 minutes each time to be seated which is crazy b cause they had maybe 8 tables full each time. The coffee tastes like brown water. The kitchen takes forever to cook the food. The place looks pretty cool from the outside and the restaurant looks nice but that is about it. Now location. It is near everything. For the price, I expect a lot more. I would say stay at one of the lowe stars because you get a lot more for your money.

This hotel is disgusting, and Hilton needs to remove it from their portfolio. Arrived on Friday and had a large stain in the bathtub (looked similar to vomit, but not suggesting it was actually that). Went to front desk to get someone to deep clean the room, and was instead told I should just move rooms. Not even asked if I needed any help moving rooms (had already unpacked), so had to do that all myself.

New room was much smaller and had interior view of roof, and itself wasn't clean (not as bad a room #1, but dust and dirt everywhere).

Friends and I tried to go to dinner at the hotel, was told they could serve cold food only because there was an event at the hotel...I'm sorry what?

Next day came back from lunch and lock didn't work on the door - it had run out of batteries. Which, they get alerts when batteries are low, but clearly chose not to proactively change. Had to wait ~20 minutes for maintenance to show up at my room to open my door.

There is so much more I could list out, but cleanliness is the main thing. When waiting for maintenance to unlock my room, housekeeping was sweeping the hallway, and by that I mean they swept one line across the floor, unplugged, and kept moving on.

Curio Collection is not an economy brand for Hilton, so while I'm not expecting a Waldorf experience, I'm also certainly not expecting a tru/hampton one, either.

Just ew.

Arrived at hotel check in was easy very nice looking lounge it was a maze looking for the elevator I had my disabled parents with me it made it very difficult for them to walk that far to elevator I had reservations for a handicap room ended up on 3rd floor but at least the room was by the elevator!! They charged 12 dollars for parking never have I ever paid for parking at a hotel that I have been a guest at also charged 3 dollars for a bottle of water that’s left in the room no mini fridge no iron board no desk for the money I paid I should’ve had been in a suite and the bathroom was so small you could barely shut the door no were to lay your clothes. I do not recommend this place and I will not return !!!

It was great to stay here. Nothing insanely fancy, but the rooms were well kept, the staff was nice, the food was good. Would stay again if in Lexington

Gorgeous hotel at a reasonable price! Staff was friendly.

This property was nice I cant wait to see what they can do with the rooms when they finish the renovations of this place the restaurant bar and lobby are great. I had a issue with my room and the manager Sarah took care of this for me. Some problems should be expected when working with a historical building like this. Having a great staff that can adapt and solve these problems and keep customers happy is what will eventually make this place great!

The rooms and bathrooms are really tiny. There was a spider on the bed of a friend who was with us. The service was poor and unfriendly the entire weekend. Location was okay. Overall, would not recommend.

I have stayed at Hilton Curios nrfore and had high expectations, but was very disappointed in my stay. The room was in disrepair with chipping in the tub, and a wobbly toliet. At breakfast we sat at the bar and were completely ignored by staff. At this price point i would look hard at other locations.

Bathroom needed updated and cleaned no service on Sunday. Got the breakfast package but ended up getting a credit restaurant staff not very attentive.

The Campbell House is a pretty popular hotel in a good location.
The good:
- The front lobby is very nice. It appears that they recently renovated.
-The staff is friendly. Actually everyone in Lexington is very friendly.
-The bed in the room was very comfortable.
The bad:
-The room is pretty rough. Drop ceiling in the room. Terrible paint and finishes. Cracked tile. Erratic A/C. No mini fridge in the room.
-The carpet in the halls needs replacing.
-There was zero parking in the lot. The staff at the desk said to “park wherever”.
-The outside steps were crumbling.

I’d comeback if they did some upgrades.

We have stayed at The Campbell House before when visiting UK. This time we checked in on a Sunday, so the hotel was less than 50% full. The room we got was VERY small, and the bathroom was very cramped with only a pedestal sink. The towel rack (which is IN the shower because there is literally no where else to put it) came off the wall while in the shower. We noticed the carpeting was wet when we checked in and then found out the shower curtain was too short and the bathroom floor was flooded. There was ONE outlet in the room. There is a bedside clock with outlets built in, but the cord is so short the clock barely reaches the nightstand. Finally, (this is not a downtown hotel) yet they charge $12/day for parking. So very disappointed this time and we will not return.
