The Cellar Bar & Grille

On July 5, 2025 we were visiting KY from OH searching for a great place to eat since the hotel kitchen closed at 11:00 p.m. When I tell you this is the perfect spot! Our server was Mathew and on a scale of 1-10 we give him 20 stars! If I had a business I’d definitely want him working there! He went above and beyond his job description! Thank you for finding a charger for me; I really appreciated that! Next time there’s going to be more in our group because we definitely spread the word! We hate we missed the band! Food, pricing and drinks excellent!

Good food, good drinks, good prices.

We stopped in on a whim in Lexington for Billy Strings this weekend and wanted to catch the NBA game, lots of TV’s which is great.

Had the southwest egg rolls, some type of chicken flatbread and a dip trip with chili, queso and salsa.

All do it was delicious but the 3 different dips were the shining star, holy smokes those were 🔥!

Our server, forgot her name had long braids, she was friendly, attentive and a great employee to have.

First and probably last time visiting here. We didn't know what to expect but they had all the TV's on Big Blue Madness and the place was full to the brim. The tables close to the bar area seemed to get the best service. I ordered the Landsdowne Grill. It was horrible. The chicken was too tough to eat as a sandwich and was so heavily seasoned I couldn't eat much of it. The fries were the sorriest I've seen in a long time. The server should have noticed I didn't eat much of my meal and asked about it but he didn't. Most of the workers going in and out of the kitchen seemed to be hustling their butts off but I did observe a few slackers that were constantly on their phone. They would be fired if I was their boss. I know a lot of restaurants are going to these handheld ordering machines that you also pay on but I do not like them. I don't like a server hovering over me while I pay on these things.

Place has a nice vibe. Clean with no sticky floors. Kept pretty dark. Big sports tv's big back patio. Bartender was friendly enough. New staff waitress was very friendly and eager to please even for a late night large group coming in. She even volunteered to run my tab from the bar. Got there during Late night menu. Love they are open late. Food is way overpriced but does come with generous portion. Fries could feed 2-4 people. I asked for sides of sour cream instead of ranch since i have allergies and new girl didnt bat an eyelash or have to go check she made it happen. Love when places will accoodate. Likely be back again due to cleanlieness, late night options, accomodatuon and friendly staff. Likely become our new after WCS dance hang out spot.

Dietary restrictions: Does have late night menu but if you have allergies be prepared to eat $20 dollar plain fries if the oil they use, passes your allergy test. Better then nothing though.

Server spilled drink on me then I heard her laughing about it and pointing at me with the bar tender. They didn't offer me anything to clean myself up with and wouldn't accept my veteran discount on my food.

Loved the landscaping & the food is DEVINE!!! Pastrami & the CBR fries are amazing! Great service!!! We will be back & telling all my Winchester friends!
