It had been years since I have been to the Lemon Tree. Typically, it is a sit down service from noon until 1pm. I work nearby but I don’t usually have time to go. When they offered a take out day for the first time (that I know of) I jumped at the chance. I ordered in advance online, which was quick and convenient. When I came to pick up the order it was quick and easy with friendly service. The food was great and they did not skimp on the portion size. I hope they continue...
It makes my heart happy to see that The Lemon Tree is still serving meals and teaching students. As a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a degree in nutrition and dietetics my eyes filled with tears when I saw that this opportunity is still available to students. My own education was enriched and furthered greatly by my experience as a student serving, cooking, washing dishes, at The Lemon Tree. Thank you, UK, for continuing this fine tradition
