Was an awesome stay, rooms was very clean and Juana from room service did an excellent job keeping fresh towels stocked up for us, bed made, etc. But the all star of my stay was Abbey at the restaurant bar. She recommended the burger which was large and awesome along with beverages, she was very attentive, detail oriented, knowledgeable and friendly. I wish everyone that worked at the Marriott were like this and very well informed. The free bourbon tastings from 4-6 was a cool thing I have never experienced before.

The outdoor pool and hot tub were amazing and Miguel, who seemed to be everywhere doing everything was awesome! But overall was mediocre. From not having enough towels in the room for the number of people on the reservation to no towels at the pool (both days) to only one working ice machine (we were told to check all the floors) to broken bedside lampshade attachwd with duct tape to the outdoor snack bar being closed despite posted hours indicating they were open (we were told to go inside to get drinks from the restaurant (in wet swimsuits!). At checkout, we informed them about the issues (even though they didn't ask how our stay was) and got a generic apology with no interest in the details.

I love this resort, and I always have they keep the place clean, renovated and fresh and always have smiling wonderful employees some of what you’ve been there for years. The rooms are quiet and spacious, and some have incredible views. When there are problems, they’re always dealt with quickly and with Karen attention and seriousness. Keep up the good work I’ll be back!

Room: Really spacious with great decor. The beds were very comfortable and sheets were clean. The bathrooms we clean and the soaps from Morton’s were a nice touch. The view was spectacular, overlooking the golf course. Food: The fare was classic American with a southern twist. Ordered the steak and it was cooked perfectly. Portions were generous. For drinks we had an Old fashioned and the Cosmo Royale. Both were excellent. Service: The service throughout the stay was fantastic. Each hospitality staff we interacted with was very helpful, professional, and friendly. From dinner, we specifically wanted to point out our waitress, Taylor. She was very attentive and personable. Spa I got a 60min deep tissue massage. The whole experience was very nice. The amenities were excellent. The table was heated. A pillow was under my knees for comfort. The massage itself was very good. The masseuse asked about problem areas and focused on those spots, incorporating stretches to help. She listened and tailored the massage to suit my needs. Essential oils were a very nice touch. Cabana The cabana was a nice space. The tv, fan, and cooler were nice things to set that space apart from the rest of the pool. The towels were oversized and cozy. Outdoor Pool Space The boys had a fantastic time by the pool area. It was super clean and the water temp was perfect. Really cool activities to have a band there and a movie night. Also sat by the fire to make some s’mores however all the kids were interested was getting back in the pool! Overall it was a fantastic stay!! It was a great place to unwind and enjoy time as a family.

This was a short-notice corporate meeting, and the sales and catering staff could not have been more helpful. Trey and Whitney made everything easy, and Tommy, AV extraordinaire, saved the day! The All American Breakfast Buffet was delicious and the staff kept it replenished. I highly recommend Marriott Griffin Gate for your business meetings!

This hotel is great! Had a nice remodeled room with a great golf course view. I wanted to stay here for the golf course…My wife wanted it for the pool. Both were great! Vince at the golf course and the staff do a remarkable job! This place is in impeccable shape! The greens are 100 out of 100!!! I have played on many PGA tour courses! They rolled as well as any I have played all over the USA and several Caribbean and Hawaiian islands. If you are looking for a guys golf trip this is a great location for it. The price is hard to beat for the quality of this course. Thanks Vince! Awesome experience!

I took my wife to Lexington for a weekend away and was so happy that we chose to stay at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort. The rooms were spacious and clean, with a gorgeous private outdoor area and ridiculously comfy beds! all the staff were very helpful and had some great suggestions for places to eat. I enjoyed playing the golf course, which was in great condition! I’d highly recommend staying at this resort for a trip to Lexington!

This hotel was excellent. Beautiful courtyard with multiple fire pits and chairs. Trees were all lit up with lights and they were beautiful. Bartender Michelle was great. One if the best we have had at a hotel. So friendly and efficient. Loved spending time with her. Rooms were spotless and bed and pillows were so comfy I didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning!! The only downfall was the front desk staff. They were not very nice . We asked for an upgrade in our room as my husband is a Marriott titanium member and she said she did upgrade us. NOT TRUE!! We ended up in a room on the second floor. It was a great room but it was the principle of the situation. Non the less we will be back. Hopefully front desk staff will be nicer. They should take a nice lesson from Michelle, the bartender! I saw someone complained about the noise here. We had no noise at all but it we did stay on a Wednesday night.

The Marriott at Griffin Gate is a fantastic place to visit when in Lexington. The rooms have been renovated, nicely decorated and well maintained. The staff has been top notch through our entire stay! We rented a cabana poolside for the Fourth of July. Megan our server was outstanding! She is professional, attentive, and has gone above and beyond to make sure we have been taken care of properly. I highly recommend the Marriott for a great resort experience, golf, relaxing pool side and having drinks overlooking the beautiful golf course with fire pits to knock off the chill at night. I will be back soon!

Called the Griffin Gate before booking and was assured it was quiet...as all places that people go to sleep should be. All was well during the day but when we returned from dinner around 8:30 there was a loud rock band playing in the lobby...to absolutely no one. The disruption to peace and quiet aside, this was one of the saddest things I have ever witnessed. These poor musicians playing without any audience. Clearly, nobody appreciated or wanted this entertainment. Many guests were complaining and we were assured it would end at 10:00. It did but immediately after a loud party started in the pool area with a DJ and giant speakers. The front desk was again inundated with guests begging for it to end. The staff told us that the group had a "contract "that allowed them to have a loud party. What about the guest's contract to have a room that is quiet enough to sleep in? Marriott corporate really needs to take notice as I've never encountered anything like this at any of their other properties.

I have been staying at the Griffin Gate Marriott for over 30 years. It has always been my favorite, but now the owners have taken all the Kentucky charm out of it. No more Horse pictures in the hallway, no more wonderful gift shop, No more Hot Brown in the Restaurant or Fried Green Tomatoes in the bar. And, the last blow is they did away with the Concierge Lounge. Kentucky, especially Lexington, is horse country. I used to be in the Lounge listening to the horse owners talk about their purchases, etc. With no lounge they will be moving to the hotel across the street which has free breakfast and happy hour. I am a lifetime Marriott member. I am from Kentucky. All Marriotts do not have to be the same. The staff was wonderful. Great Kentucky people. Why ruin this beautiful place by making it ordinary.

We stayed last night at this beautiful hotel! The staff was incredible, super nice and friendly. My daughter left her favorite special stuffy in the bed (mom fail) didn’t check it upon leaving the room. Called house keeping they found it and is shipping it back to us in Canada!! I can’t believe how kind and quickly responsive they were. They rooms were so clean and the hotel lobby was beautiful. We also stayed last summer on Aug. the outdoor pool and hot tub were beautiful and super clean. Loved everything about this hotel and staff!! I highly recommend this hotel for families or even any event!!! This is my first review ever for a hotel!

Not a very welcoming property. The front desk staff won’t acknowledge your Bonvoy status. No complimentary room upgrade offered and they were clearly low occupancy. I had shoe prints on the bed sheets, dirty windows, drapes that weren’t hanging, who knows what smeared on things, and the toilet seat wasn’t secured. How the heck does the staff miss this stuff?! The food in the restaurant came out cold in the evening and for breakfast. It was a hassle to get the hotel management to follow through with what they said they would do when I brought this up on checkout. They clearly didn’t refurbish the rooms.

My first trip to Kentucky was terrific at the Lexington Griffin Gate. What a gorgeous property with golf course and The Mansion. My room were spacious and comfortable, and the staff was so accommodating and friendly Looking forward my next trip and returning back to the Griffin Gate :)

Horrible experience. We are Marriott members, stayed here after a long road trip hoping to get some rest. Sadly hotel had a massive party which meant we got no sleep. Finally gave up and left hotel at 4am when it became clear that the hotel was not going to do anything to help other guests sleep. Hard to pay 400USD for one night where we couldn’t sleep and literally had to leave. I get the hotel has conferences and it will be loud. What I wasn’t prepared for was a lack of respect for other guests trying to sleep. Brutal.
