Very noisy the night we are there.
Read the reviews and decided we had to give it a try….food and service exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be back!
Everything was just perfect!
For the price and quality of food, Obstinate Sons is the best restaurant in Lexington. Every drink, appetizer, entree, dessert I’ve had has been the best version of itself I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely phenomenal.

Highly recommend Crab cakes and so far whatever is the deviled egg special. We haven’t been disappointed. I had the shrimp gnocchi tonight, tasty vodka sauce.

I had my first meal at The Obstinate Sons in Lexington, and it was fantastic. The flavors in every dish were really well done – you can tell they put thought into what they’re serving. Everything we tried was delicious, but the seared butter poundcake was definitely the standout.
The service was absolutely fantastic, too. The staff made us feel right at home and added to the whole experience. It’s a place I’d happily go back to and recommend to friends. If you’re in Lexington and looking for a spot with great food and great service, give this place a try.

Really nice new place in the Chevy Chase area of Lexington. Food is awesome (deviled eggs and oysters are a must!). Great bourbon selection, including smaller local ones. Highly recommended!
The finest meal I've ever had. The food was phenomenal, inspired and brilliant. The atmosphere was perfect, the waitresses were beautiful and charming, everyone working there was having fun. I only regret that I couldn't eat more.

Best date spot in Lexington.
The sole and cannon balls 10/10
Staff is super friendly, accommodating and attentive.
No reservations, can’t blame them, so get there early or plan accordingly and grab a cocktail while you wait.

I was so impressed with this place. Met some friends here and the restaurant was full so we ended up grabbing a patio spot to avoid any wait. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Started with drinks and appetizers. Cocktails were really solid and the wine list was erring on the side of not crazy interesting but very affordable and approachable which I totally appreciate. Appetizers were amazing, we had deviled eggs, crab cakes, and chicken livers. The chicken livers were especially good.
We had some bourbon and rye between courses and their spirit list is really solid, with a good selection and really reasonably priced.
For my entree I had the pork chop special with whipped sweet potato and (I think) a pepper sauce, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a minute.

I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. We sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Bartenders were amazing and were really able to speak to their extensive assortment of spirits. After a flight or two :) our table was ready. Waitress was amazingly attentive…Top notch service! We ordered deviled eggs. French onion soup and the lemon sole…all were some of the best or the best we’ve ever had. Finished the meal with the pound cake…Recommended by staff and definitely worth the calories. We travel extensively and love to try new restaurants…We’d come back here over and over again if we could.

Just stopped in for a dinner on our way across the country. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and courteous.
Food recommendations and food were wonderful, with great flavors and seasoning.
If I could nitpick, I’d say it was not obvious we were at the right spot from the parking lot as the signage is not so obvious. But, we figured it out pretty quickly.

Great new restaurant in the Chevy Chase area. We sat at the bar for dinner and service was excellent, attentive, and not obtrusive.
Vibe is cool, classic ‘moody’ with dark wood and eclectic artwork.
Cocktails were excellent and the bourbon list is extensive, with several rare bottles. Drinks were fairly priced.
I had an entree special - breaded pork chop on mashed potatoes with an excellent sauce and bacon crumbs. My wife had a delicious burger. Shared the coconut crème pie.
Special note - the bar top is the original from the Merrick Inn before it was remodeled, a nice Easter egg that the founder and chef told us about.
