We had a fabulous first experience last night! Service was impeccable (Brynn was fabulous!) and the food was the best we’ve had in ages. The pimento cheese grits were to DIE FOR. We can’t wait to come back!

We ate there last night and the service and the food were excellent. Can’t wait to visit again. We enjoyed the deviled eggs, roasted oysters, cannon balls, chicken livers, whitefish piccata and the shrimp gnocchi. The three of us were impressed with the delicious food and vibrant atmosphere.

It is clear that careful consideration goes in to each dish- evident by the weekly rotating menu. The price is worth it for the food, service and overall experience! Looking forward to coming back soon.

First time visitReally liked the look of the place. The service was top notch, both at the bar and table. They poured a great drink and nice wine list. The jalapeño dressed eggs were spot on and a nice surprise. We were pleased with the taste, entree size and presentation. it is small and the bar is big, so it is louder than I care to dine. They were nice to turn the music down to help. Will be back and kudos to the kitchen for a great meal.

I was unsure if I would like the crab cakes, just based off my own taste with some of the ingredients listed in the description, but that ended up not being the case. The crab cake itself is super meaty and fresh, and it’s not packed with filler stuffing like most other ones. But when you top all those extra side ingredients on top of it, and dip it in the sauces, it’s like a flavor explosion in the best possible way. I did a pick up order, but the inside of the restaurant is really nice and the staff were friendly. The prices are affordable in comparison to the quality of food and atmosphere you get here. It’s a great fit for Chevy Chase and I’m definitely going to be working my way through this menu.

A bit hard to find in Chevy Chase Plaza! We got there very early on a Friday and there was only one table left so we grabbed it - they don't take reservations. The service was lovely and the food was very good. (Drinks too - I couldn't stop drinking Luck Be a Lady ) However - there's often a however or at least a But - as we lingered, we found things becoming louder and pretty much had trouble hearing each other across our table, so it wasn't really what we wanted for a long and pleasant dinner. But the Murray's know how to do restaurants - and they will figure out how this one can fit in. And - it does not hurt that they have Donna's pies.....coconut cream was perfection.

I only had an appetizer this time, but I couldn't let the other, ridiculously absurd, review hang just there by itself. I had the fried chicken liver appetizer and it was delicious, rich, filling and nearly too much for one person. The space is very nice, smallish and the crowd was large, but fun and enjoyable. There are several things on the menu l look forward to on future visits.

This place is a bar that serves fancy food. It's very hard to find, they have a little bitty sign that has their name and whiskey by the glass, that's it. It's nice inside, very small though. The food was good. I had the mahi sandwich. The fish was cooked and seasoned well. The kings roll is to flimsy to hold the fish so I had to fork it. The service was spotty. Our server was very uninterested, just the facts. What really put us off was the owner repeatedly walking by our table and not acknowledging our presence but talking to literally everyone at the bar. He also walked by our dirty plates that just sat there. The place is new, I expected more. I guess I'm old school. We won't go back.

Best French onion soup I’ve ever had. My husband said best oysters ever. Entrees were delicious. What a wonderful new restaurant!
