This is going to sound harsh but this was the WORST dining experience I've ever had in Lexington. We came here for brunch, and right off the bat the hostess said she would take us because none of the other servers wanted to. We ordered the Belgian Waffles with seasonal berries and the Pulled Pork Hash. When our food eventually got there the waffles were hard and overcooked, and the berries were just strawberries that were a gross shade of grey, slimy, and looked older than I am. The pork hash tasted great but came out cold. I took a few bites of the waffle, but had lost my appetite so I sent it back. The waitress offered to have it remade but I said no thank you. She came back a few minutes later saying they were remaking it and asked them “to use fresh berries this time” ??? Shouldn't that be the standard? We left without the remade waffle and still paid $12 for it. I also watched three different tables come up to the bar and ask for their check because their waiter hadn't been around for a while. I will not be back. If anyone is looking for a place for brunch, go to Fiddletree next door. They have never let me down!

The service was terrible. The food was great once it finally came. It took an hour for our food to arrive. After waiting 30 minutes, the waitress gave us a lengthy, detailed excuse about a computer system glitch, which left us thinking that she had forgotten to put in our order. About 10 minutes later the manager said she would take care of it, after which the waitress said our order would be right out. It was at least another 15 minutes later before she brought it; an hour overall. None of the staff handled it well. They were dismissive and seemed to try to avoid our table. They comped one appetizer and gave us a piece of cake to go. Mistakes happen, it is how you handle mistakes that really matters, but the staff did not handle this well at all.

I ordered a hot brown up to my room at the Campbell House and thought it was good. However, the food was a bit too salty for my taste. In fairness, the food would likely be better served fresh in the dining room.

We were staying at the Campbell House and had two $15 voucher for breakfast as special from hotel. A pretty small breakfast menu. We were pleasantly surprised as our food was well made and it hit the spot. I really love the high ceilings and farm house decor. It was a bit cooler than our liking so be sure to bring a light jacket.

Abby made our experience wonderful! We celebrated 10 years married and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The steak, pasta, drinks and 7 layer chocolate cake were all wonderful! We appreciated her hospitality throughout our dinner service!
