Saturday night we had a 70th surprise birthday party for my mother. Mark (the owner),Jessica, Mike and the crew at Thoroughbreds were unbelievable. Everyone could not stop talking about how great the party was and how great the food tasted. Jessica took control and made sure that everything ran as smoothly as possible. Stumbled on this place via Goggle maps our first day in Lexington, and Wow!!! Four guys sat right down, cold beers all around, awesome wings, great steaks, local specials, Weller 12! Service was great and we shot the you know what with Mark(3rd generation owner), great guy. We have no problem paying for good food/service, our bill was about half the amount we expected it to be.

Hidden gem in Lexington. Never disappointed with the food. Always a small menu when you look online but every one of the probably 20 times I’ve been there, there are always so many specials on the board. I never order the same thing, and I’m always happy. Still a great value with big servings. Overall a very cool bar sticking to the basics.
