Watan Mediterranean Grill

I’ve had the chicken shawarma entree and sandwich now. Both very good, extremely flavorful. Honestly no reason to go to any kind of fast food chain for lunch with this place around. Way better food and more food for the same price. Servers are very chill too.

Also to my fellow pale folk, do not fear their spicier sauce (Shatta I think?). If you can handle buffalo wings you can definitely handle this. If Buffalo is a 5/10 spice level, this is like a 3.5 maximum. Adds a ton of great flavor and spice is complimentary vs overpowering. Tahini sauce is excellent as well.

If there’s one point I’d knock them for, their rice is definitely better than the fries. Fries taste fresh but I just can’t really taste the seasoning they put on them.

We stopped in for a late lunch and it hit the spot. The restaurant was clean and staff was professional and friendly. The lamb, chicken shawarma and vegetables were so fresh. Baklava was flaky and not overly sweet. Delicious!

My wife and I split a lunch platter and it was phenomenal. The service was excellent, the gentleman behind the counter gave us a cup of freshly made lentil soup due to the weather. The atmosphere was comfortable and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend!

Hands down the best Mediterranean restaurant in Lexington. Everything on the menu is delicious and their lunch special for $10 is an amazing deal with large portions. Please come eat here and support an amazing local businesses!!
