Today was my first encounter and LAST encounter with Bread of Life. My friends all raved about it and I was really looking forward to dining there. We opted to have the buffet. After filling my plate, I looked for dining utensils. All I could find are spoons. A young woman was sitting at a table assembling the packets of knife and fork. I stepped over and picked one up. She was pretty rude and hateful about telling me they were already on a table across the restaurant. I put back the one I had picked up and went to table she had indicated. Nothing there. Two of my companions encountered the same. She was hateful with them also. Our server was irritated that they asked for drinks with their meal. At this point, I gave up on trying to enjoy a meal. I pushed away the plate I had prepared and left. If providing basic services to customers is a bother to the staff, they need not worry about a return visit from us.

Buffet was good. Only $12 at lunch and I feel was worth it. Several items to select from. Cheery pie was tasty. Pieces were large. Can order off menu as well. We were seated in the larger room. Was a bit noisy. Also had to walk through a hallway to get to buffet and there was an unpleasant odor coming from room I believe drinks, etc. were prepared. Smelled like spoiled milk. Cute decor. Nice gift shop. Would go back if in area again.

We had heard good things about the buffet and decided to drive 1 1/2 hours to eat here. The food was average buffet offerings. The catfish was very good. We may eat there again when in the area.

I saw this place online so when heading to TN we decided to make a stop. We opted for the food bar. The pulled pork was excellent with great flavor. Homemade mashed potatoes. Homemade green beans. The chicken was good. We liked the salad bar. Honey mustard dressing was awesome. The chicken salad was awesome. The coleslaw, potato salad and macaroni salad was also very good. This place was so good we also stopped on our way back home. Try it. You won’t be disappointed. We will stop again when in the area. They also have a nice little gift shop.

I've said this many times I do not want to eat here in spring or summer. There is gnats and Flys all over the buffet bar. Flys everywhere. Last summer we ate here there was so many many Flys around our food it doesn't make a enjoyable trip it makes me very sick. I've heard others say the same thing. They don't spray for bugs it seems so unsanitary to eat. The bathroom is one stalk and people lined up to use the restroom .no toilet paper. Dirty and toilet paper throwed all over the floor. Nasty place to eat.

We had been wanting to try this place and decided to make the 2.5 hour drive from east Louisville today. We got the buffet as it was only $12.99 and included a drink and dessert. Everything we had was really good. They had fried catfish, baked chicken, pot roast and pork BBQ. The corn was cut fresh off the cob and they had new potatoes, chicken and dumplings, green beans, pinto beans and BBQ beans. The rolls were huge and there were biscuits and corn muffins, too. Dessert was fresh peach cobbler with ice cream. There was a salad bar, but we focused on the other offerings. Service was very attentive and friendly. The gift shop was nice and we brought home some delicious fudge and I’m sporting a pretty new bracelet I found there.

Been here before and food was great. Not so good this time. We all had the buffet for $11.99. Fried Chicken wings hard as a rock ( no idea how they got that hard), tasteless vegetables (corn, carrots, green beans). Catish was good, pulled Roast beef was excellent, but brown gravy was thick and very salty. Real mashed potatoes were just not good (no salt? no butter? Just no taste). Rolls and cornbread good. Peach cobbler was good but the banana pudding was not. My husband said his salad was the best thing he ate (they have a salad bar with lots of raw veggies & toppings as well as Cole slaw snd macaroni salad). My brother said he hoped we would have a good meal before our trip was over. The server was a young girl who seemed too shy to speak, but she kept our drinks filled. Food just wasn’t that great today. But good company visiting my Kentucky family.

They catered for my wedding and were so easy to work with! The food was great and the staff were amazing! I will definitely keep them in mind if I need anymore catering! Thank you guys for helping make my wedding day perfect!

This was our first time at the Bread of Life Cafe. I know a number of people rave about the buffet, but we steered clear of the piles of food and warming lamps though I admit the food did look pretty good there as well. I was in a catfish mood and upon learning that the catfish is fresh and hand-breaded by the cook staff onsite, I ordered that for my entree with a baked potato and sauteed mushrooms for my sides. My wife ordered a mushroom swiss burger with sauteed mushrooms for her side (she likes mushrooms a lot). The catfish and burger were absolutely delicious (five stars by themselves), but the sides were lackluster. I really wanted mashed potatoes wtih gravy and green beans for my sides. Though they were not on the menu, they were on the buffet, and I regret not asking if they were options. The service was good, and the atmosphere was nice with lots of families who clearly dine here often. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return. The catfish is just too good to pass up if we are close.

Recently attended a birthday party which was catered by Simply Delicious...,bottom line is the food was Simply Delicious!! We Highly recommend them for your catering needs. The best Roast Beef and Sweet Potato casserole ever!
