Easily the worst meal and worst service I have ever had- I had been eye balling this place for months- I was supposed to take a trip to London KY in august that was delayed to April. After being seated, we were told that the kitchen had a longer wait than usual. We were fine with that. The service that we received in the mean time was awful. Our appetizer dishes and drinks were not cleared, (our first course of drinks were never cleared, even at the end of the meal when I had my 2nd drink, my glass from my first beverage stayed waiting at the table along with our appetizer dishes....it was a small table). I think the waitress was embarrassed about how long was waiting for the quality of food we would get- I got the mahi mahi which is easily the worst meal I have ever had at a restaurant in my life- my advice to the restaurant- don't even offer it- you don't know how to cook fish. I have literally overcooked frozen salmon in my oven that was less over cooked than this poor piece of mahi mahi. The wait was fine, but the waitress did not make any eye contact at all. I don't blame her because I would be very embarrassed of a wait that long (we were seated at 7:15 and did not get food until 8:40). We were not offered any beverages in our over an hour wait. Our water was was emptied in that time, and we were not brought new water (and we did ask). The food was not even hot when it came out, it was Luke warm which made it all the more disappointing. Luckily, we closed on our first house and were in a good mood. What a terrible way to celebrate. I would recommend everyone to not come here. HUGE waste of money. To spend that amount of $ and get the poor quality food and service is truly robbery. I just would suggest going anywhere else. Overpriced, overrated, poor service and bad quality of food. Just very disappointing and we wish we were treated with respect like you should treat a customer...... not completely ignore them and avoid all eye contact and do the bare minimum. Still tipped 25% but def should not have. We were truly fine with the wait, but the disrespect we received as customers during our wait needs to be noted and recognized, especially as very understanding customers. Business is understandable- rudeness and discourteous to your customers is not the way you should have gone about your business tonight. Very disappointed that I wasted a good amount of money on the extremely overpriced meal and service we received tonight. Drive through restaurants offer better customer service than this place did tonight, and I wish that is where I had gone instead, after this meal.

Absolutely amazing experience here. They have a new menu and everything is delicious. We shared the Bang bang Shrimp Brussels, the soup of the day (curry) and the chicken Alfredo. Everything was perfect and delicious and so satisfying. We topped off the dinner with the peach cobbler and it was almost as good as my momma makes. 11/10 we’ll be coming back

Best restaurant in town! I always enjoy going. I love the concept of locally sourced eateries. I just wish they had vegan options.

Absolutely phenomenal!!! 10/10I will say that if you have 3+ people in your party or don't want to sit at the bar to eat, I would make a reservation because they are popular and seating is limited. My husband and I drove an hour in for our 2 year anniversary dinner on a recommendation and we will be coming back with our family. We sat at the bar and had plenty of space to ourselves. The chairs were large and comfortable. The atmosphere inside was very cozy and perfect for an intimate social gathering. We ordered the Shrimp and Brussels appetizer and it was such a unique flavor (if you like brussels sprouts) and was my favorite thing that we ordered. It was also a generous serving for 2 food-loving people to share. I ordered the Winter Pasta and never in my wildest dreams did I think a food could taste like the Christmas holiday season. But this dish hit it on the head. A little off to eat it when it felt like spring out but oh my gosh in the fall and winter it would be perfect. My husband ordered the filet mignon and said it was perfect. He has tried filets from many restaurants and said this one was perfect. I thought it had great texture and flavor. We ordered mixed drinks and our favorite was a white Russian. I don't remember the exact name on the menu but it was delicious. We will absolutely be making a trip back for more.Kid-friendliness: Highchairs available, ample space for highchair seating and a changing table in the women's bathroom. Unknown if one in the men's.

Fat Man Reviews

The Fat Man recently went out of town for a work conference in London, KY. While I was there, I stopped at Local Honey for lunch. Local Honey says their food is made with love and fresh ingredients, especially for you.I had the Local Honey Bacon Board, which comes with hand-cut smoked Lardon, Sourdough toast, house jam, and soft cheese. This was dusted with powdered sugar. The bacon was thick-cut with a nice crunch and a good chew with an excellent salt level. I got a nice crunch with the toast, which was buttered well. The house jam was an elderberry jam that was sweet but not overpowering. The cheese was creamy with a hint of garlic tagging, and the chives were slightly bland but paired well with the salty bacon. When you put all the components together, it reminded me of a Monte Cristo sandwich. For my meal, I decided to try the Manhattan. This was prepared with slow-roasted beef, carrots, green beans, mashed potatoes, and brown gravy and served on Texas toast. The green beans and carrots were blanched and cooked with a little crunch but lacked seasoning. The roast beef was dry, chewy, and under-seasoned; however, I also detected a slight sweetness that was unfortunate. The gravy was creamy and smooth, with a good flavor and texture, but there was still sweetness. The mashed potatoes were seasoned perfectly and had large chunks of potatoes, giving texture to the dish. The toast on the bottom had a good crunch, and the amount of bread went well with the serving size. Combining the toast, potatoes, and gravy in one bite offered an okay bite in texture and chew, but the dry, flavorless, sweet meat and gravy took away from the experience and made the meal unable to be finished.Local Honey offers a full bar with a brunch and dinner menu. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was neat for the space. The Fat Man says that Local Honey is NOT Fat Man approved.

Waited 30 minutes for our drinks. Waited 50 minutes for our food. Don’t know if it ever came because we had to go elsewhere for something to eat.

The atmosphere was divine and the look super cute. A bit pricey for a stopover but the food was so fresh and we loved our visit and the music. The veggies were not cooked all the way so it was a bit difficult but the flavor was all the way there. The burgers are smaller but tasty and the salmon was magnificent. One note for all training in all restaurants… Never leave a table empty handed for any server in any establishment, no section matters. Our dirty plates sat even after we paid. The server was nice but not trained. Pulling plates helps people order dessert or coffee or raise your tips. It looks terrible bc not even a manager or another server grabbed a plate. Work on this and you’ll have it set.

Wow!! I was super impressed from the moment that I walked in. I loved the decor and ambiance. The brunch menu has many options and everything looks so good. I ordered the Country Club Omelette with Gouda cheese. It came with the most delicious shredded potatoes. The local meats were excellent and I can't say enough about how much i loved the meal. I will drive down from Lexington just to come here. I can't wait to try more things on their menu. The owner was very busy and very friendly and came by the table to ask how our food was. What a great place!

Was passing through on trip from GA to MI. Ambience was great, wait staff were wonderful, Savannah was my waitress, she was very good. Had the shrimp and grits, which was excellent, but the southern Brussels sprouts were to die for, highly recommend!

I enjoyed everything about this place except it was busy when we arrived, so our 7pm reservations got pushed back by 15 minutes - ko big deal - but then, I do believe we were forgotten about 3 different times. It took another 15 minutes to get drinks - and 20 minutes after that before the waitress came back for our order. People that came in after us were getting their meals and leaving before we even got our appetizer. There were only two of us. We had to remind our waitress about our appetizer and order. She told us it had just come up and she'll be right back with it. 15 minutes later, we received the appetizer. It was 9pm before our meal finally arrived to our table. The food was fantastic, but we were not impressed by the service.

We're from Ohio and were down visiting family. Stopped here for brunch before the drive back up. It was amazing! The food was so fresh and delicious, and the Valentine's Day specials they had were to die for! Gonna make a point to stop here every time we're down in London!
