Tonight was my first time trying the food. I had the butter chicken, samosas and Gulab Jamun (dessert), and it was all AMAZING!!! And such great prices! I will definitely be back!

After my move to Madisonville I was on the hunt for butter chicken, when a Yelp search came up empty I turned to Facebook and found A Taste of India. We punched the address in to the GPS and ended up at a Sunco gas station, there is no signage for the restaurant but I made my husband go in to make sure we weren't missing it. He came out about 7 minutes later with a huge bag of delicious smelling food. WIN! We ordered a large curry chicken and butter chicken, which were the only two dishes they were serving today. It came with two huge bowls of rice, and we also got an order of garlic papad. The owner warned us to take the curry easy until we were sure of the spice level, I didn't think it was too spicy but could see why he would warn customers. Both the curry and butter chicken were well seasoned and tasted as fantastic as they smelled. The garlic papad dipped in to the butter chicken sauce was delicious. For less than $25 we fed two adults and we easily have enough for another round of meals tomorrow. I can't wait to go back!

We arrived in time for the opening at 11am. Nobody around. Was told to come back at noon. We did...only to hear that we could place an order amd come back in ANOTHER 30 minites. After 30 minutes, we were told to wait another 10 minutes. They have a full menu of food...but we were told that ONLY BUTTER CHICKEN was being sold. HUGE let down. After finally getting our food, the chicken was cold and the spicy flavor was hotter than I could handle. The rice was good and hot. The bread was the only great thing. Won't be coming back.
