My fiancé brought me to eat here for the first time. It was amazing service and amazing food!! They give you plenty of food and it’s definitely a home cooked feel! I will definitely be back and recommend it to others. It was crazy busy and there was a little wait for the food but that it’s to be expected with home cooked fresh food! I absolutely loved it!!

I’m in the area once a month for a meeting at the state park up the highway. Every single time, I come in and grab a bite for dinner and a meal to take home. The food is outstanding. Some of the best I’ve had from the Carolinas to Maine. Highly recommend the tenders, fries and onion rings, but you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Country fried steak is great, pork chop too. And the fish. See what I mean? I could go on and on. Traveling as much as I do, good meals can get a little difficult to find but I never sweat passing through Mayslick.And by the way, HUGE portions. As the owner’s sign out front says, “if you leave hungry, it’s your fault.” And I 100% agree! I never leave any way but full and ready for a nap. A lot of food and it’s great quality.If you’re in the area or just passing through, stop by the dinner bell and bring an appetite. I can’t count how many times I’ve recommended people eat here.

I gave the atmosphere a 2 because of all the hollering and shouting the cook did. He was VERY loud while cooking, almost like he was trying to entertain us. It was a full house as usual and loud with their customers chatting, the room definitely didn't need the unnecessary shouting from the cook.Parking: Parking can be difficult if you come at popular times to eat. The restaurant is shared with a small country gas station. The restaurant is very small for the number of customers that come hungry with less than a dozen tables but has a great country feel. Food is what people come from several counties away for! It's always delicious down home country cooking.

Love this place. It's country cooking at its finest. Don't be coming expecting a suit and tie atmosphere, that's not here. This down home country food and feel. Always friendly, from the cook to the server. Today CC wasn't cooking himself, but his cook was equally as good. I had the chicken fried steak and my wife had meatloaf. Both were the specials today. Both were amazing. My son had a corn dog, he also destroyed it! This may be a drive for you to get here, but trust me, as the sign says, if you leave hungry it's your fault! Good food, good prices, generous portions!Vegetarian options: There are a lot of veggie sidesKid-friendliness: Bring your kids! The Food was awesome. I had the 2 piece porkchop dinner with brown beans and fried potatoes. It was delicious and the portions are pretty good sized. Well worth the money.
