I wish I would have taken more pictures but this place is insanely dirty and gross. It looks like someone threw a milkshake at the wall and nobody ever cleaned it off, there was chunks of brown who knows what on the ledge behind my husband, and there was just dirt and grime all around. We came during a snowy day and there was less than 8 tables in the whole restaurant with two servers, a to go hostess and a bartender. The food took a long while to get out, especially for being microwave meals lol. I will say my spinach and artichoke dip did slap though and my daughter had some insane cheese pulls from her mozzarella sticks, but the actual entrees were not great. The waitress was sweet but glasses were emptied at the beginning and not refilled until almost the end of the meals, we waited about 15 minutes for boxes and my daughter asked to put in a dessert that we eventually canceled because it still hadn’t come out by the time we were being handed a bill and getting ready to go.
My daughter chose to eat here as her special after performance meal because she grew up loving Applebee’s and we went all the time to the one in Arizona where we used to live. Unfortunately she told me after we left that she wished she would have picked Buffalo Wild Wings instead.

Came into the Applebee’s on Maysville took forever to get drinks and food. Service was overall bad in every way you could imagine waitress Madison was clearly high but specifically the waitress sat down three hot plates in front of my baby one of which was a burning hot cast-iron directly in front of him as if he ordered it. called the manager afterwards Not asking for free food or anything just wanting her to make her waitress aware that she’s endangering small children with her lack of situational awareness and she said nothing but OK you’re welcome.

I am writing to express serious concern regarding the behavior of a waitress, at your Maysville Applebee’s location. This evening, my teenage son and his friends dined at your restaurant and experienced an incident that I feel must be brought to your immediate attention.
After paying their bill, my son noticed that an additional tip had been added to the transaction, an amount beyond what the group had intended to leave. When he respectfully pointed out this discrepancy, the waitress insisted that the unauthorized tip was “ok,” dismissing my son’s objection and suggesting he would simply “be in the negative” if he lacked the necessary funds. Only after my son clarified that his bank account was set up as a minor and had certain protections did the waitress finally correct the charge.
The group had already left a tip in cash. The attempt to impose an extra gratuity without consent is unacceptable and can reasonably be interpreted as an act of dishonesty, especially considering this was done to minors. Such conduct not only violates the principles of ethical service but also undermines customer trust.
I request that this incident be thoroughly investigated, appropriate action taken, and confirmation provided that Applebee’s does not condone or tolerate this kind of behavior. It is critical that young patrons, and all customers, are treated with honesty and respect in your establishment.

Stopped in for lunch on 11/16/25. Got seated, order taken immediately. Server brought our drinks and appetizer quickly. I Thought we we going to have a good experience. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting over an hour for our food; while tables who arrived long after we did received their orders, ate and left. Got seated at 12:30 didn’t leave until after 2pm, in a mostly vacant restaurant. My wife and I’s food was luke warm at best. I get being short staffed and maybe taking a little longer totally sympathetic to that. But, over an hour before anyone even stops to check is unacceptable. Not to mention a lack of staff to even ask about our order.

It is specifically the Applebee's in Maysville, KY. That place is so lively and the staff is amazing. The drinks are good too. The food, not so much.

Food was good. But service was poor on two separate visits 9/26 and 9/28. Slow to serve on 9/26 and then again on 9/28 slow to serve, and when food finally arrived, no silverware or napkins were supplied. When utensils were requested, several minutes passed before they were provided. Ordered soup as a side which was never brought out. When an adjustment was requested for the tab, server apologized but returned for card authorization with soup cost still on bill. Had to request a second time for adjustment.
Perhaps there are staffing issues. ??????
Walked in to a almost septic smell. Was hungry figured it would pass. Ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with peppercorn chicken tenders. Macaroni was literally wet like they didn’t drain it and zero cheese. See attached pic. The manager was nice enough to offer me a burger instead. But I ended up having to pay for that. I won’t be back and I don’t advise anybody to go.
