We went to Caproni's for our anniversary and it was very nice. The food was delicious & our server was delightful . The noise level too loud for our special occasion, but it was very crowded on a Friday night and I we should have requested a quieter place for seating. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Table was ready for us Not crammed together Comfortable space Immediate friendly service Follow up service like keeping water glasses full Making sure alll our needs were handled Server new the menu well he was so accommodating and quick Then food was great
I’ve always enjoyed eating at Caproni’s. The staff is always so kind, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is I wonderful! I’ve never been disappointed!

Great food and atmosphere. Being able to watch the Ohio River flow past as you dine is a total plus!
We celebrated our 39 th anniversary in this beautiful restaurant . The waitress was amazing as well as the food and atmosphere. We love coming to eat here and will be back as soon as we can!
Caproni's was well worth the drive from Lexington. We dined there for our anniversary. The food, drinks and view did not disappoint. We are planning a future visit to Caproni's with our whole family.
We came for a new place on date night.
It was awesome.
Food was great, excellent service.
We'll be back!
Decent food, great wait staff. Overpriced, but amazing views.
8 years later.I was so looking forward to the calamari. They were the size of Cheerios and zero meat (after our waitress took almost 15 minutes to even greet us.)
After I saw what they were passing off as calamari, I made the very correct decision to order nothing else. Wasting money on cafeteria rolls, limp bagged salad that looked like it should have been thrown away last week, my husband’s spaghetti looked like complete mush, and it was. The Alfredo my son ordered tasted like water, my oldest son’s looked like the only edible thing on the table. HUGE waste of money and time and gas. I had put in the notes on the reservation that we were celebrating my son’s bday and my other son’s graduation. Had ZERO acknowledgment from wait staff regarding either. The waitress did take the calamari off, but that doesn’t fix the $74 ginormous waste of money. People seem to ignore the fact that the quality of food has gone so far down while the prices climb. I am glad I didn’t add to the bill by ordering. Will NOT be coming back. Terrible. Another restaurant that people will literally not see how bad it’s become because they don’t really care. People will eat anything and say it’s good because they are supposed to. Sad.
Everything was wonderful!
Fancy for the sake of fancy, food is fairly good, costs are reasonable (updated in 2025), the view makes it worth it. Thanks to the flood wall it is the only restaurant in town with a river view

What happened here. We used to love this place. Tonight, the apps (wings) were over done. Server stated the sauced caused them to come out darker than normal, but burnt is burnt. Wife had the spinach and artichoke dip....again, the pita points were way over toasted. She had the chix scalapini piccata and there was literally a jar of capers swimming amongst her pasta. I had the catfish, which was good....but seemed not the same level of great. The wine was great. The server was great. The entertainment was great. The view is great. We'll be back, as maybe it was an off night in the kitchen. Sorry guys....
Best place in town. Nice bar, view of the Ohio. Food and drinks were good.
Highly recommend ! Excellent Italian fine dining right on the river.
The atmosphere and service was perfect! We have never had a more attentive server. The view and the live music provided a wonderful ambience for our Mother's Day meal.
Food was good, it was a buffet as it was a holiday. Great view on the river.
