I ordered a birthday cake for my sister. It was very last minute and they did a wonderful job! Everyone raved about the cake, it was delicious!!! I really appreciate them being able to fulfill my needs on such short notice. This will be my go to bakery in Maysville.

Spectacular place - George Clooney is right! The transparent pie was absolutely amazing!Plenty of parking, easy to get in and out.The lady who waited on us was very nice and helpful.We did get some chocolate chip cookies and they were fine before we made it out of Maysville.A must stop for sure.

Hello, I saw all the reviews and the change of ownership, but my dad is from that area. So I said, "Let me just see how it is," bc the "transparent pie" is a dying art. I called in the car from Elizabethtown on I-65 N. 1 dozen transparent tarts.I called again because I was running late. Nancy and another employee waited on me till after closing! They were packed well, and she said they can freeze, or they can keep up to 1 week.I have tried for years to make the Maysville, KY, recipe online, and it is just like his grandmother's, except I did not put so much sugar. Dad kept saying it was good, but hers was sweeter.Well now I get it! First--nothing wrong with today's batch incl the ones in the case. They clearly make the crust from scratch. It is golden brown, thick, and flaky.The middle looked like I've seen before, a creamy gooey pale yellow. The tart was very good!The "runniness" people mentioned is melted butter from the recipe. The pie is done. The brown color and crunch on top is caramelized and crystallized sugar, because it calls for *a lot* of sugar. It is supposed to be a little brown on top.I'm writing this on a sugar high right now, but it really is good. They are Sweet Creations. Their signage is better now, next to Fazoli's. Give them plenty of time to prepare it, because it takes awhile. Nancy and second employee were great! My family has been wondering for years about "transparent pie." It is the perfect Father's Day Gift!

I went into Sweet creations today, because I was curious, and I have never tried them before. As soon as I stepped in the environment was really Stiff and tense. The people never smiled, and they weren’t very friendly. That said they could’ve been having a bad day, but it does make it look bad on them as a business when they aren’t very welcoming. Now the cake pops are to die for they are amazing. The lemon cupcakes were more like lemon biscuits shaped like cupcakes. It wasn’t gross. It just wasn’t the level that I expected it to be. I’m not sure if I’ll go back, but when I do, I hope that the environment is just a little bit more welcoming.

Maysville is my home town, and I can honestly tell you the transparent pies we have been used to for decades are no longer available, at least not at this bakery. Spent 61 for the nastiest pies I have ever had. Burnt, hardly any filling at all. I tried to call them 4 times and they won't respond. They know what they did! Good reviews are from 4 years ago or better. No good reviews now!!

Drove 80 miles round trip on Wednesday for transparent tarts only to find them closed when the Google info said they were open until 5. I would suggest they update their business information.

I left a post last week regarding the transparent puddings but it is no,longer visible. Guess I left it in the wrong place. I love transparent puddings and pies. I dont mind paying the cost of them. I do not want to see Magee’s close. I want Magee’s to succeed and stay open for years. However, Magee’s need to have some one who knows how to make them. I spent $100.00 a couple of weeks ago on transparent puddings. I took them to Altoona, PA. They were terrible. The crust was thick and dry. The filling had NO flavor/taste at all. They were very dark and what sugar was there was crystalized on the top. I proudly shared the story of our Maysville transparent puddings and after a couple of bites of one, I was embembarrassed to have bragged on and shared them. They are easy to make. Please do them right so people can continue to enjoy them.

Best bakery since forever. I drive every holiday season back home from Cincinnati where I live to get transparent tarts to give out at work. They’re always a hit!
