Great location with friendly people who care about bourbon. Enjoyed the experience and good pours. Love it
Stopped here on the way to Lexington. Lovely, small distillery. Ladies were knowledgeable and helpful. Tasting was great. It was super cool to see some of the Pogue history.
Reservation required- but worth the stop.
This was a unexpected pleasure ?
A family-owned distillery on the original property for 150 years!
Run by the family and bottled by hand.✋?
You're tour will include anything and everything you want to know presented by a sixth generation Pogue in the actual distillery! ?
Followed by a tasting.?It couldn't be any better.
Paul Pogue was my guide and when the tour was over, I had no questions. He had covered everything in minute detail. His knowledge of family and local history was fascinating. First class all the way.
Highly recommended! The bourbon and whisky's that you get to taste are world class! There is also some interesting history on display, that is worth checking out. Reservations are required if I'm not mistaken, but can be made on their website . The 2 ladies that were working the day we visited were extremely friendly. I remember Sabrina was the name of one of them, and they both went above and beyond and were helpful to us. They recommended several things, including the very unique and wonderful museum in town that we wouldn't have gone to otherwise. Thanks so much for that!
Charming craft distillery with some great history. The staff was wonderful, and John even paused to chat with us. Very nice selection of small batch bourbon and whiskey. Highly recommend making this one of your stops on the trail.
One of the best experiences I have had on a tour. Loved talking with the head distiller about bourbon. We can't wait to bring family back to enjoy. Great flag ship product. Not a bad pour in the place.
Old Pogue is a distillery with a deep history of bourbon knowledge spanning multiple generations. Although I had never heard of Old Pogue before this tour I definitely went home with a bottle to share with friends. I highly recommend a tour with Sabrina! She was beyond wonderful and gave an amazing tour. Even got the chance to meet the Pogue family distiller and he told us about the process!
Had a wonderful time visiting Old Pogue. Beautiful views of the river along with a delightful bourbon tasting with Dan made this a great visit.
Unique & awesome place tucked away with a great view. Great bourbon too!

Bourbon and the view from the front porch are both outstanding. There is some great history about the distillery and the family, and unlike other tours you actually get to spend time with the owner. Plenty of neat little things to do in the area as well.
Great time at the testing wuth Dan. Great to get a bottle that is hard to fine.
Informative entertaining tour with great tastings
Sabrina and Dan were outstanding! Full of knowledge .Throughly enjoyed our tour/ tasting .Ate locally/visited Pogue experience/museum.
A must visit to this family owned business. How awesome to talk to John and Paul Pogue. Their passion for their family bourbon is admirable.
