We were at this winery on Saturday 8/9. It was a nice place to visit except for the customer service. The young staff were only interested in talking among themselves. The interaction with the staff especially the young man serving samples was "What's next" and no other conversation, no information on the wines, history of the winery or even where are we from and have we been there before. Stopped into this beautiful vineyard on our way to dinner. We were there until close. We met the owner who was so much fun to chat with while we finished our tasting and purchased our products so happy we made this one of our stops. I highly recommend this vineyard while visiting Lexington Kentucky.

Equus Run Vineyards offers a beautiful country-style setting with a backyard feel. The wines, while not the best in the area, are mostly reds that are generally well-received. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing experience, with a friendly staff and an inquisitive cat named Tuxedo. The winery also offers wine tastings at a reasonable price, featuring excellent wines that customers often take home. The area outside of the tasting room is great for relaxing on the deck or in the shade of their trees, and there is a circular path that runs along the nearby creek. Equus Run Vineyards is dog-friendly and offers a military discount. The wines are of high quality and the service is excellent. The staff is very helpful and kind. Sunday afternoons feature a free band, sunshine, dancing, and fun. Mieko, one of the staff members, is known for her wonderful service and hospitality. Equus Run Vineyards also offers January Souper Sunday, a tasting with free soup.
