The food is bad, that is, if there is any by the time you go in there. I’ve been in there twice: once for dinner and once for brunch. For dinner they were almost out of everything. The worker was literally scrapping the bottom of the pan to get me some pasta that I asked for. It ended up being over cooked and tasting bad when I did eat it. Whether it was because the whole batch was over cooked or if it’s because I got the last of it was unclear. There’s never any dessert over at the dessert bar, or if there is it’s nicely set out behind a glass display cases where students can’t get to it. When I went in brunch the worker was rude when I asked for some eggs. Trust me, girl, I’d much rather be getting my own eggs then having to ask someone scoop some out for me like a child. There was also no napkins in sight. Every napkin dispenser that I went to were out and at that point I was so exasperated I didn’t bother asking someone for any. They probably would have just looked at me like I was dumb if I did because they’re not the friendliest. I get it, food service sucks, but you don’t have to be rude to me because of it. I’m paying to eat here. I typically try to stay clear of The Rock in general, despite it being close to my dorm, because my first semester there my roommate told me that she’s gotten food pounding here before.

I go in at 3 pm most days, and they have barely anything for an hour. I try to get what little pizza they have left, and the stands are already pulled to the back of the counter like they're gonna clean it, so I gotta reach under to get my food. Dessert sitting in the cases, but not set out, so oh well I guess I don't get the dessert that you guys have literally already prepped. Grill closed down, so no burgers. Some mozzarella tortilla roll things, but they're cold. Diet Pepsi is out of order as always, I would understand if it's one time, but it's consistent for 4 weeks, so maybe increase your syrup order people? And then if I come in at like 6:30 or 7 for dinner instead, most of the desert is gone because they set it out at 4 pm, and all the pizza is typically gone. The ice cream machine has more downtime than uptime, which wouldn't be an issue except that it's the only dessert available most of my dining hours. For ice cream, they're obviously ordering the smallest amount of milk they can, vanilla one week chocolate the next, and it only lasts 3 or 4 days. If they're gonna close at 3 until 4, they should, ya know, actually close maybe? That way they can actually prep properly, and maybe set stuff out at 5 instead of 4 so there's still a decent dinner left by the completely normal hour of 6:30.

But go ahead and take my financial aid money as if you're doing me a favor, provide the worst service and least food possible to continue getting your university stipend, and be entirely apathetic because it's impossible to go out of business with university funding.

Vegetarian options: There are impossible burgers and salad. When the grill isn't closed. And it's always closed unless you're coming in at strange hours.

Dietary restrictions: Nonexistent... there's a poorly stocked corner for nut and lactose allergy, you might get a soy milk box and cookie if you're lucky.

Food is good, dining hall is clean, but a number of workers are incredibly rude and unprofessional. Most are great, the guys working the burgers and wraps are saints, but a lot of other people are just mean. When I ask for a plate of spaghetti please don't sigh and give me a nasty look like I'm a jerk for inconveniencing you.Recently no one was working register (shocker) so I leaned over the counter, tapped the meal plan option on the register screen, then put in my meal swipe. I could have just walked by without paying like everyone else was.The worker who was supposed to be working the register ran up to me and told me not to do that. I apologized, said I didn't know I wasn't supposed to, and said I wouldn't do it again. Anywhere else I would say have a nice day, walk away, and move on. Instead the worker started gave me a lecture like I was a stupid small child, in a rude tone of voice, borderline accusing me of trying to steal from the register. She then had me swipe again (I didn't want any more trouble so I just payed again), and I walked away when the worker yelled at my angrily that the swipe didn't go through (probably because I already swiped and payed earlier) and gave me another lecture heavily implying I was trying to steal a meal. If I wanted to steal a meal, I would have walled by without paying like the dozens of other students at this point. Finally swiped AGAIN, and went away to the food line and got my meatloaf. I then saw the cashier going from supervisor to supervisor talking to them and pointing at me until she found someone miserable enough to care. I then got the pleasure of being chewed out aggressively, as the supervisor invaded my personal space in a way I think they were trying to physically intimidate me, accused me of going behind the register to mess with it and steal (a lie, I leaned over and tapped the screen twice, I have worked in fast food and know how this crud works), and told me if she saw me again she would be calling the dean of students on me and jeopardize my standing at university. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR. I was never rude myself and kept composure and wasn't even able to say a word other than "yes" and "no".I called the bluff and just went, sat down, and ate, but if the dean really ended up getting involved (fat chance) man I would have tried to get those nincompoops fired.Horrible, rude workers. That kind of behavior is unacceptable in any context, but especially in the service industry when I have paid for food?I don't expect you to be super nice, or anything I understand the misery of the minimum wage 9-5, but the bottom line is that the campus students shouldn't be treated in an ugly and demeaning way.

Went here for dinner after checking the menu. The menu listed multiple food items when I arrived the entire buffet consisted of only Turkey burgers and soft tacos and they were out of all condiments.

Excellent dining experience. Sadly the food choices used to be much better before COVID.

It's good with a wide variety.

Very very different place after pandemic. Not all of the food stations are ever open at the same time. Some seem to have been closed permanently, like the stir fry center. The stations that are open are not fully stocked with multiple choices. The salad bar used to have fresh fruit at lunch. No longer. Also today the restroom was not clean or fully stocked. Very disappointing- this used to be one of my favorite places to eat.

The first couple weeks were great. The desserts consistently seem to impress, even though the station closes prematurely. The rest of the food really just isn’t good. The pizzas sweet or just bad, the Greek food served next to raw chicken, the burgers are eh, and their selection genuinely sucks. The best part is the customizable sandwiches and fried chicken (when it makes its very rare appearance) Really though, genuinely depresses just to be around the food because sits so bad.

Great selection of vegan and vegetarian options and very friendly staff!

I was very impressed with wide selection of food and quality of my food . Will come back.

Okay food depending on the item and the time, but you can get a lot for cheap.
