Very crowded on a Sunday but the food made up for the long wait. Great meal and service. We enjoyed our steak and salad bar.

We made a joke about the seating and apparently made waiters uncomfortable and almost got kicked out for a little joke that we didn’t mean anything about it.

Update: 2-16-2026 My coworker and I ate lunch here. We eat out almost every day and yes I almost always order steak. Since I got sick I’ve been eating carnivore. I ordered a steak rare with no oils or seasoning, and no sides since I no longer eat vegetables. When the waitress came with the check, I asked if they were going to deduct the sides that I did not receive, and she said no. This is sad since I order this way daily and will not likely eat here again. I travel for work and usually eat at a Cattleman’s, Longhorn, or Colton’s steakhouse. Most of the Colton’s deduct the cost of the sides that I do not receive. Maybe someday they will get with the times and earn my business back. Until then, I will eat elsewhere, and steer my friends & co-workers away to eat elsewhere as well.

Im near Maysville Ky and honestly get kind of board with just local restaurants not to discredit local by no means. So we headed to a steakhouse within a short distance and decided on Cattlemans or Texas Roadhouse because neither are in our area. I picked Cattlemans in Mt Sterling and to be frank I'd rather I picked Morehead location or TR.... I had the 8 oz sirloin cooked medium with a baked potato and the salad bar she had 8 oz sirloin cooked well with a baked potato and the salad bar... Retts steak was medium rare and mine was ok but I tasted a honey or orange glaze type taste in every bite eventhough it wasn't glazed in no way shape or form. Then to top it all off we finally get to tell the waitress and she says sorry I can bring you another one at which point we was both done eating. I heard I assume the manager asking people behind us if things were OK but never did come to our table so I just payed the bill and left..Yes I still gave a tip.

Driving from Misery to North Carolina, this is a must stop for me. First off, I enjoy a good steak and Cattlemans deliver! Second, for as busy at the business is, service and atmosphere are simply great. The beer, ice cold, friendly people and tender, flavorful steaks with yummy sides. You must try!!

Food was okay, service was definitely lacking with the crowd size, but I guess schmoozing with the male persuasion and speaking of yourself was more important than service. Might return with a different server.
