I stopped at Limestone Bar & Grill during a visit to Mt. Vernon, and it turned out to be one of the best meals of my trip. This restaurant feels like a true local treasure—laid-back, welcoming, and serving the kind of food that leaves you planning a return visit. The dining area is spacious with big windows that look out over the hills, giving the whole space a warm, open feel. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy the view, and take a break from traveling. I ordered the chicken tenders with onion rings and green beans, and everything tasted freshly prepared and full of flavor. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, the onion rings were crisp without being greasy, and the green beans tasted just like classic Southern comfort food. My companion had the BLT with house-made chips, and the portion was generous with thick bacon and crunchy, golden chips. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The staff made us feel right at home, which added so much to the overall experience. Whether you’re passing through on a road trip or spending some time exploring the area, I highly recommend stopping at Limestone Bar & Grill. Great food, great people, and a peaceful view—everything you want in a small-town dining stop!

We came at brunch-time on your drive north; food was good, service was good, atmosphere was absent, just blah. My only suggestion/ concern was that the polished cement floor needs resealed- its VERY sticky, but the kind of sticky that happens when the wrong floor cleaner is used. It was - laughably loud! Food was great though!
