This little family owned restaurant has been in business for generations, it has amazing food. Even more amazing than the food, THE MILK SHAKES! They're always handmade, with pretty much any flavor you could want. I always get peanut butter and banana. (Made with real peanut butter and banana). They also have chocolate and vanilla swirl ice cream, and really good Banana splits. You can't beat them, really. In my opinion, it's the only place in Mount Vernon to go for a milkshake. Nowhere else can even come close to the quality, for the price.
We used the outside window to order some shakes. The oreo crumble was great! There was a katydid in the window. Fun place!

I orderedover the phone stillhad a wait....then I get home and no tarter sauce for my order of fish!!! Who dthen i calledthemand the personsaid you have to ask for it!!!!!!oes ketchupwith fish????!!!!

It's like the Ole Dairy twist back in the '60s. It's the best burger I have had in a long time. Also, the soft ice cream is what it used to be. I had a butterscotch and peanut butter shake before, and both were great. You need to go if you haven't been, and you like soft ice cream, good old-fashioned burgers, or footlong hot dogs.
