This is my second time eating here. This little cafe is super quaint, retro chic place. I wouldn't take my kids here as there aren't many kid friendly menu options. But I love this place. The first time I had hot honey chicken, the second time I had the shrimp and Grits. Both were out of this world delicious! The service is superb too. Come check out this place! You won't regret it.

Located in Murray Ky, the Goldenrod offers a relaxed, comfortable setting for lunch. They offer a variety of sandwiches and main dishes. I ordered BLT. Wonderful bread and ingredients. The coffee was also superb, rich tobust flavor. My companion ordered fish and chips; she loved the fish and the fries. Good sized lunch portion. Worth the visit. The staff is attentive and very prompt. And the food excellent.
Parking: Plenty of spaces, easy access.

Walked in a little before lunch rush and were immediately greeted with a positive and friendly attitude. Ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito with a side simple salad with their buttermilk dressing. Everything was cooked well and tasted great. Chorizo added a little spice. Had egg and hash and Jack cheese as well inside. Simple salad was good as well as the sauce. Inexpensive. Paid ten before tip. Our host was friendly and accommodating. He often checked on us. Waitress was great. She was very nice and always made sure we had what we needed and that our water was filled. Comfortable and easy going vibes. Midcentury modern design. Loved all the art and plants decorating the space. Menu had a lot of options. Some were noted Gluten Free if that’s an issue. Would definitely visit again.
Vegetarian options: Has a tofu scramble on the menu as well as other vegetarian options. Some things like the salads may need to ask for no bacon. But they list the ingredients.
Parking: In a strip mall. Plenty of parking.
Wheelchair accessibility: The side walk has a slope for wheelchairs. Flat plain inside. All chairs can be moved to accommodate.
Dietary restrictions: Has items marked if they are gluten free.

Breakfast was delicious, drinks were fantastic (and the names are hilarious). The bartender was super friendly and really funny, we love sitting at the bar and she made it an even better meal. She also spent time telling us about how the restaurant got started and about the new menu they were releasing the following week. We definitely plan on coming back soon!

A hidden gem for sure! The steak was nicely seared, the tea was the perfect balance of sweet, and the hash was nice and crunchy. They bring your check in a little book (an actual book) was reading some of the comments left and definitely will be back to try their burger and pork chop! There was just 1 lady there serving and she was kind and attentive. I did notice people seating themselves and I was flustered for her. Please don't seat yourself.

I chose Goldenrod as my birthday meal this evening, and boy was that a gift! From start to finish, just a great experience. Ryan was extremely nice and helpful. Even the water was great lol.I recommend trying the Brussel sprouts first and foremost. The char on them with the maple syrup just goes together so nicely. Add in the candied pecans.. I swear my gf almost got emotional they were so tasty!I got the NY strip, which was cooked to a medium and came with a garlic butter on top which went so well with it. The potato hash had a phenomenal flavor and wasn't too salty. Last but not least, the fresh cooked spinach had such a unique flavor to it. The portion of each side and main entrée were above average. The strip had to be every bit of 12-14oz. I ate every bit of my meal, and although left feeling fuller than a tick, I left so very satisfied.Oh, and the "John Daly" drink was really tasty! Kind of reminded me of drinking the fruit juice from a fruit cup, but it packed a little punch for sure!Cannot wait to try their breakfast, lunch, and desserts!

We had heard a lot about Goldenrod Cafe as a lot of people we know who are musicians were playing there. And just as much as we heard about them hosting music, we heard about their food. We finally had a chance to stop in, and I am certainly glad we did!Their cocktail menu is creative and delicious. And the food is out of this world! Very unique but also approachable and so very tasty. Murray has a real gem there!

Fantastic service, which is so hard to get these days! Great recommendations, saving me money on my salad, but up selling me on dessert that I didn't need, but so happy I got! And I just can't say enough about the food! Seasoned perfectly! I'm a fan of a short list of entrees that you can consistently nail! And they Nailed It! Not to mention....Benton's Bacon! Which should be the official bacon of all time!!! Thank you Goldenrod for the food and atmosphere!
