Had a wonderful time got some good wine and glasses
Going out of business so go get your wine
I’m not sure where the good ratings are coming from. There were 3 other groups of people there, one was a young group so I believe they enjoyed their fruity wines…which is good because all they had available were either/or fruit or sweet wines. We tried a Cabernet Sauvignon which could have passed for a sweet wine. It tasted like syrup. We went last weekend, on a Saturday, and the girl behind the counter could have been the least bit interested in helping us. She pointed us in the direction of the end of the counter with her finger and told us to look at the white sheet since that’s all available. Food was your basic bag of chips, or a chunk of cheese. Even the poor cats there seemed ignored since they were begging for attention so came and sat at our table the whole time.
Wine is good and the outside seating area is beautiful! They also have cats and a very friendly dog you can visit with!
If you are looking for a slower paced, classic country farm, almost forgotten lifestyle, please come to this slice of heaven winery. Best deal for tasting within and hour radius (no limitation). The charming Smith-Berry team made us feel like family (farm dog and cats included). We even had a kind wave from the resident farmer in overalls. Recommendation for middle of the road wine lovers (Semi/Sweet) Half and Half, Sweet Stevie, Stevie Rose’, and Vignoles.
Great time with friends. The wine is good and reasonable and the band Brass Pack is awesome.
We were very excited to come and sample their wine on our way home from a girls trip. We were extremely disappointed when we drove an hour out of the way for the winery to be closed. When we called the number online it went to voicemail, confirming their hours for Sunday, 12-6pm we were there a little after 12 and waited for half hour hoping that someone would show. Unfortunately, there was another couple that had come from Ohio that had also drove out of their way to sample. After messaging the Facebook page for the winery we didn’t get any responses and left. Hopefully, others won’t have the same experience as us, but wanted to leave a warning.
Beautiful place, great service, amazing wines FLAT ROCK is a MUST! The 20 minute scenic drive was so pretty and peaceful! I think we've unlocked a new mothers day tradition! P.S. we love the cats and the ourdoor garden and shade!
Just stopped in from out of state and WOW, amazing wines and the nicest staff. :) tasting was perfect and the cheeses we grabbed are so good, can’t stop eating it in the car. This wine will be on our delivery list from now on. Favorites were Brother John, Half and Half :)
Excellent wine and nice property. We were from out of state and would love to have learned more about the wines from someone.

A fantastic place for an afternoon wine tasting. Lots of variety. We especially liked the blackberry and strawberry wines. And the furry friends were a great added feature. Highly recommend.
My husband and I stopped on our way home from visiting Louisville. Really liked every wine we tasted. Left with six bottles. We will be back.
Smith-Berry was a nice stop off the beaten path on our way back from Kentucky Speedway. The location was nice and peaceful. The grounds were nice and the seating outside was ample for a few groups to sit in quiet and enjoy the tastings. The tastings were good. We purchased 6 bottles of wine from them. They were having a concert Saturday evening, we couldn't stay however if we did we would have for sure enjoyed it. The dog Burley was absolute our favorite. He was very sweet and friendly. He allowed us to pet on him. They had a nice pergola with seating next to a nice fountain. When my Bride is happy I am happy.
While I miss their fabulous buffet and wine tastings, always a good time at S-B. They still have award winning wines, sangria by the glass, help with parking and friendly employees. Thanks for such a good time!
I LOVED my experience at smith berry winery for my 22nd birthday. I paid for the 8$ wine tasting & ordered mainly sweet & sparkling wines - they were incredible. I tasted smith berry for the first time about a year ago at the lake, I tried the sweet blackberry flavor.. WOW ? it was best wine I have ever had, very rich, colorful, and flavorful.? ? we also got the garlic cheese & crackers which were amazing paired with the wines as well.
