First couple times it was great. Friendly workers gave alil extra for the kids awesome but last night I placed an order online picked it up walked back home just to open a half prepared order no shrimp and alil bit of rice went back to see if they can make a new plate with different serving but was met with a rude worker idk her name but she had a raiders jaked working with other employees that swore they put the shrimp himself in the plate but was full of it then I asked for a refund cause that was the last 20 I had for me and my kids to eat said she couldn't do refunds if no manager was there . My 2 daughters were hungry so we ate a little but didnt finish it. Think her bf was in the lobby cause she went straight to him, to a phone call. She also refused to give us a 🌽 that the cooked offerd she said no he didnt bring it back.. just rude and unprofessional.

Got the family meal asked if I could have 4 plates with it. I asked bc I literally don't have plates to eat off of at home right now. They said no to 4 plates with a 30$ family meal . Also they didn't follow the directions of the sauce I needed.

The older women who work here are so kind. We get the family meal and it's always prepared so good. Love this place even more because of them (: they always make the experience great

I ordered the two-piece fish and fries, but the fish I received seemed like it had been sitting out for days. The hushpuppy also tasted stale when I got it at the window. I also saw a young blonde girl scratching her head while handling the food, which was concerning. While I usually enjoy Captain D’s, this Nicholasville location is disappointing—the food is terrible, the service is poor, and there are serious hygiene issues. Honestly, eating here feels like a recipe for food poisoning.

Yesterday (11/24/2025) Evening @ around 8:30 pm (order # 39753853447864320) I placed a order for a 4 piece Catfish Meal and 2 sides of Lobster bites when I arrive at about 8:35 pm to pick it up the girl working the drive thru informs me that they tried to call me but the contact number they have on the mobile order is not the same number on my online receipt and she had no way of contacting me but she could replace my Catfish with Southern Style Whitefish which I said would be fine but when I get home I find that there is only one piece of fish instead of 4 , so I return back to the restaurant which she said that 1 piece of Whitefish is equal to 4 Catfish and there was nothing she could do to fix it , i wanted a refund then but she refused that and refused to even refund the differences in the prices of the meals . I gave my phone number and she said she would tell the manager who would call me today to correct this but I never received a call. I would not recommend this particular restaurant in Nicholasville ky to anyone due to this rude , shady unprofessional behavior and their desire to waste customers time. They Obviously don't respect customers business.
Update:
These people are ridiculous they just sent a email addresssing the wrong Order # declaring a $0.34 adjustment on the wrong order # for being a unsatisfied customer, that's still not even the difference between the Catfish and Whitefish meals which I was overcharged $4.20 for , math is obviously not their strong point.

Fresh food, good service, good parking! Pricing is good for value meal, which is barely filling. To get a bigger meal the price jumps dramatic.

Hushpuppies are to die for! Everything was cooked when ordered, so had to wait a few short minutes but it's worth the wait!
