Yes,it's a good place to eat,they keep everything clean ect. However if u wanna work there I'd recommend u don't. There all family.. Everyone their has been there for years which is fine but than u start to understand its almost like a cliq,if u don't become apart of that cliq,well don't expect to work there long. Seen 2 people who had mental illnesses go in there and honestly do the best they can with the illnesses they have yet face discrimination,they'd sit there and talk about them in unkind mean ways behind their back,than once the person starts to understand how there being treated the employee tries to ask how he can become better to improve. Instead of giving tips and being honest they lie so that person ends up getting fired,then they'll complain how they don't have enough staff. The main manager also keeps a shift manager even tho shes rude and mean,why does she still have her job if shes mean? Also love working like a 20 gallon bucket of hot oil and watch a 10 month old baby come into the back definitely no safety concerns there...shes the managers daughter that's why she's kept her job.Also got paid a dollar less than them bc they knew I was desperate for a job. Don't see the point in giving the employee u think is more capable less,than the one u believe is uncapable.Essentially discrimination against mental illnesses is the main complaint. Btw quit complaining about people with schizophrenia being physically and pyscologically slow. The meds THEY HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE makes them that slow. Don't complain about not enough employees yet u keep a manger there literally no one likes and yall Continuously run off any new employees. I would also mention not enough hours however if they have no hours that typically means ur trynnna make them quit so u don't have to answer to why u lost another worker.

Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because they left my crab cakes out . Only reason I ordered the platter I did. I didn't realize till home , but I know stuff happens.

Such a nice manager and friendly staff. Quiet Sunday, got some mobile to go orders and the food was just like I remembered…GREAT :)Thank you God for wonderful people. Renae and Shana are some great workers. They are outgoing and respectful. If them two cant put a smile on your face when your having a bad day then nobody can. Food is always fresh when either one of them are there. Hard workers are rare to come by now a days. Everyone go pay them a visit at the Nicholasville store and give those two young lady's a tip when you do

My family hasn't ate there in a while due to unfriendly worker's but we decided to give it another try and let me tell you we were not disappointed! To walk in and see Ms. Renee is back working there, you are guaranteed great food and great service! My family and I have to say Ms. Renee is the BEST employee the Nicholasville Captain D's has to offer! We will definitely be making our weekly visits there again! Thank you Ms. Renee for always treating our family with such respect and gratitude! Ms. Renee definitely deserves to be recognized!

I ate indoors. It was my first time in there since 2020. The food was ok. There quality of food has decreased and their slaw, which used to be my favorite, was inedible. That was very disappointing. The fish was tasteless and greasy. I may have just caught them on a bad day. The food was edible, but below past experiences.

First time at Captain D's. Sorely disappointed. My stomach is still whirling 6 hours later. Overpriced and for 2 meals $28. The oil is very old, you can taste that. No chowder too ? . The only noteworthy item was the hush puppies.
