Food was great but the service was horrible because when we got there they had an old woman who was completely rude and treated us with disrespect she then brought my fiance a cup of coffee and he said it tasted horrible and they didn't even have cheese sticks and acted like we were homeless people because we were dressed in shorts and a t shirt

If you're looking for reliably tasty fare, Gerald and Gertie know how to turn it out. If you need a walkable spot in downtown Nicholasville, and one where you can get a decent vegetable side, this is the place (though their burgers, fries, and pies are excellent, too).

Such a cute local cafe. Server was very nice. the food was great. nice to see local business like this.
Just try to go there to eat lunch with my son and co-worker and the lady that was there was extremely rude and on the phone I asked if we seat ourselves and she replied I’m on the phone give me a minute with the rudest tone in her voice so I just walked out not to mention no one was there during lunch rush

This is just a great place for a down home meal. Great veggie soup, good burgers, good spegetti. Never a bad meal or experience.

Very good home cookin kind of place! It was prepared fairly quickly and tasted really good! We had the smothered chicken and the steak special, both came with choice of side and a salad. The portions were definitely impressive and I was stuffed!
