The Barn at Highpoint

I went to the barn a couple weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. We went on Friday which is their “prime rib night” and it was outstanding. Our server Emma was extremely helpful and she was the only one working that night. She had a full restaurant and was bartending, serving, delivering food, and bussing tables. Kudos to you Emma! Our prime rib came out perfectly and quickly. We also ordered from the cocktail menu, and when I wasn’t sure what I wanted, Emma was quick to suggest drinks based on my preference! We will definitely be returning and recommending it to our friends!

I ordered a club sandwich and half of it came with uncooked bacon with white fat still on it. The server said she would get it remade. It never came and she never followed up with the “chef”. When she did check, after I inquired, he said he forgot. She was more worried about getting a black logo shirt, instead of the pink one she received. Evidently she was new. But her “trainer” was equally as incompetent. Very poor customer service.

This was our first time here and we will definitely be back to try out more of the menu.We had Potato skins, Fatt Matt Volcano Chicken sandwich and Fatt Matt Volcano Burger both with Cajun Fries. Ron was our server and did a great job answering our questions and serving us.A+A+A+

My husband is in a power chair. Very handicap friendly. Not crowded or loud. Great food, served hot and promptly. Lots of variety on the menu for a small pub-like place.

Ours was a to go order. It was ready when i got there, staff were friendly but busy. I quickly got my order and paid for it and added a tip. After we left i thought it was expensive and found they had added a significant to go charge on it. So basically i double tipped them. The food was decent. I won’t be picking up food there again

It's convenient if you are in that part of the county. The food is average and prices are fair. Service completely depends on who you get.

I ordered the chicken quesadilla, and it was the best I’ve ever had! This is Nicholasville’s “hidden gem”.

We really enjoyed our lunch there. Had driven there from Frankfort, got a kick from name of a menu item, long drive something. lol didn’t even relate it to golf. Anyway, the bartender was fantastic and the staff.

Hi, I was actually at The Barn when Cynde was there and I can attest that the Prime Rib was the best I've had in this area and in NO way worse than dog food. I saw a mgr/cook come over and apologize for your inconvenience, make you a replacement steak when you didn't like the first one, only for you to refuse it outright when he brought it back and I also overheard them tell you they took it off your bill. They went above and beyond in my opinion, as I heard you making rude comments as soon as you walked into the building and sat down, so you were already upset about something, and you shouldn't take your outside upset feelings out on a hard working staff. Oh and by the way, they sold out of Prime Rib by 6pm, because I tried to order one to-go for my son. That to me, says the Prime Rib is spectacular there and that's obviously not just my opinion going by how many empty plates there were around the restaurant from people who had eaten every bite of their Prime Rib dinner. This place has come so far over the last 3-4 years under new ownership, please don't let 1 person's stupid comments keep you from coming here. BEST Prime Rib in the Lexington area, everything else I've ever had here has been spectacular. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area, definitely worth the visit

It was the worst prime rib we’ve ever had. It was paper thin and inedible. I wouldnt even feed it to my dog! We didnt eat it and were only credited for one. Service was incredibly slow. The owner/manager came out to ask us how things were and moved on to the table next to us without waiting for our answer that we hadnt even had our order taken yet. After spending $85 we left hungry.

My grandmother and I visit here every Thursday afternoon! Ron always takes great care of us! Attentive staff, great food and overall enjoyable atmosphere. Love our Thursdays at The Barn!

We had a baby shower at the Barn yesterday. It was fabulous! Everyone had a great time. The event room was perfect ! The food was great! Ron and his staff were wonderful to work with and really took care of us. I was very impressed with the food, the service and the event space. I would highly recommend The Barn at High point for your next event. Rhonda McLeod.
