This was our first time eating here. The catfish fillets were thin and overly seasoned. The season overpowered the fish itself. The whole wings were cooked perfectly, again a little heavy on the seasoning. The chicken burrito had more slaw and cheese in it than chicken. The cajuan fries, fried okra, and the mac n cheese were nice. Next time, we will order all plain or traditional fried fish or chicken.

Stopped by JP’s and we were not disappointed. The food was super great especially the house made ranch. We enjoyed every bite. They were spicy and super yummy. We would for sure stop by again.

JP’s Hot Chicken is one of the better spots in Clarksville for Nashville-style hot chicken. The food is flavorful and cooked well — crispy, juicy chicken with real heat that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Sides like the fries and mac & cheese are solid, and the slaw/pickle combo rounds it all out nicely.
The vibe is casual, clean, and the service is friendly and efficient. You place your order at the counter, and food comes out fast and fresh.
One small point of feedback — like many places these days, the payment screen prompts you to leave a tip even though you’re ordering at the counter and bussing your own table. While I always support tipping for good service, it can feel a bit forced in that kind of setup.
Still, the food speaks for itself, and it’s a dependable go-to for hot chicken in town. Worth a visit if you’re nearby and want something spicy done right.

I ordered hot chicken, fries, and fried pickles. It took 20+ minutes to receive my Togo order. Both my fries and pickles were stale and soggy. My “hot” chicken was EXTREMELY hot/spicy to the point of it being inedible. The sweet tea was sugar water with a dash of brown. I do not recommend.

Great lunch stop off of I24. Fresh cooked to order, friendly service and good value!
Fantastic food. Pricey, but I was on a road trip so I was used to cheaper food. Very great meal.

New to the area and decided to try JPs. They did not disappoint. Ordered the chicken sandwich and fries, both were amazing. Highly recommend!

Placed my order with a call in. Received a text it was ready and it wasn’t. When being helped at the register, they weren’t very kind. I ordered the chicken breast quarter (hot), it was so small they had to add a tender (Something I don’t eat and wasn’t asked if it was okay). The breast was overcooked and hard. I couldn’t eat it because I couldn’t chew it. I threw it away, along with the sides that were luke warm (fries and okra). No more JP’s, I’m done! Going back to Nashville to get True Hot Chicken done right.

I order a brest quarter hot and when I got the chicken it was burned and so tough that I couldn't eat it. I threw it away, I can't believe they would sell something like that. $18 is a lot for food that it inedible. They have lost my business for good.
