Service and show were excellent. Tables are a bit small, not a lot of room especially when all seats are full. Food was prepared entertainingly but lacked a bit of flavor. I had the Filet which was cooked perfectly, but could have used more sauce. Friend rice was a bit bland.
My family and I went and had a awesome experience. We were there for two of our birthdays, brought the grandkids. They had a great time. The chef was great the boat right to the restaurant was awesome decorated for Christmas. Overall, we had a great evening.
A Teppan Restaurant... The service and quality at Mikado is so vastly superior to any Benihana I've ever visited. The service is attentive and kind. The chefs are always talented. The tricks are great. They are truly interacting with diners. And I love coming here every single year.
It's always fun to go to this type of restaurant. It is pricey but you are also paying for the atmosphere and entertainment. The scallops and lobster were wonderful, other items were good but not outstanding. We upgraded to the fried rice, personally I don't feel it was worth it. The service was really good and our chef was lots of fun. Towards the end the head chef came out and sang the main song from Ghost which was marvelous. Overall the family had a great time.
Great experience! Best part was the singing! Staff from front desk to servers/chef/cook were all so nice.
It was great. We had a great time. The chef sang to us for our anniversary, which was really nice and made us feel special.
Took our family of 7 and had a great time! Our chef or whatever they are called was funny the whole time and did an excellent job with the food. Our server was on top of all the drinks and making sure we had what we needed. The singing sound chef was amazing too! Highly recommend!
First time staying at this resort. This restaurant was exactly like Benihana's I'm not a fan of that. It was an experience that's fun, but the food was just "good" I was looking for excellent for the price of this place and for a JW property restaurant. You're not going to go wrong with this choice just don't have higher expectations and be ready to be charge $$$ more then what you think.... that's all
Food and service was excellent. Chef Mark did a really good job preparing and serving everyone's order. We were serenaded by the head chef which was a nice treat. It took a little while to get started but the wait was worth it. Took friends who had never gone there before and they were amazed. It was pretty loud inside so,if you're looking for a quiet evening, this is not the place.
Seated at. 7:20 for a 7 PM reservation, then waited 20 minutes to order wine...another 15 minutes to order food. Waitress disappeared for long periods in between. While waiting to be seated we were encouraged to sit in the bar, where we were charged $29 for an Old Fashioned and $22 for some other mediocre drink. I've ordered many wonderful Old Fashioneds in many places but NEVER was charged $29!!!It wasn't even top line bourbon. We had a couple of Sushi rolls that were ok (nothing special), and the stir fry/“Japanese Steakhouse” experience was just ok as well. Our chef was just dialing it in—didn't seem to want to be there and none of us around the table could hear what he was saying. BIG bill of $300 (including 2 bar drinks, 2 sushi rolls, 1 stir fry and a low end bottle of wine ) for a less-than-mediocre meal that wasn't particularly filling or satisfying in a restaurant that seems to be trying to disguise itself as high end. I know resort food is typically disappointing, but this was a new low. Marriott should be embarrassed.

Small portions for the price. Service is a hit and miss. Same with wait time for the service/food

Front desk matter of fact, no plus personality. Staff at table could have explained what would happen during the evening Trays of food stacked on each other - no apparent separation layer. Table chef did try to add personality especially with young guest. Could have explained ingredients as he added. Taste was great.
Everything was outstanding during our dinner at Mikado. We loved the food, service, and ambience. There was even a singing waiter who serenaded the groups. We would happily return.
Great staff , fun chefs, food was basic and overpriced. But It was a lot of fun and we had a great time.
This is my third time to Mikato. Everything was fine, although I did not feel that they were at the top of their game as they have been in the past. The group of golf buddies all agreed the food was somewhat over-cooked, and the experiance seemed rushed for us. Our chef was very hard to understand, so the presentation was lost in that we did not get a good understanding of his jokes and stories. It was a good time that we are not regretting, but I do know they are capable of better. I will be back, as I know they serve great food.
