Last two visits medium well steak came out bloody, sent it back. It also seems the meat has NO flavoring and very tough.
Lettuce was brown and several empty containers on salad bar.
Very disappointed times two. It will be a while before we try again.

Our Life+ group from church enjoyed a fantastic lunch on Tuesday. They easily accommodated our group and we had excellent service for our entire meal. Great place to eat!!

I have been eating at Briarpatch for decades, and I used to love this place, butt my steaks have been way overcooked the last couple of times I've been. Yesterday, I had a to-go order. Big mistake. The 10oz filet I tipped the cooks an extra $17 for was cooked MW rather than MR. Returning wasn't an option at the time, so I had to eat what I got. I called to let them know, and they refused to make good on their error. I expect a $40 steak to be cooked correctly. Ironically, I sat in the parking lot talking to a friend, telling her how excited I was to be back in town and get a filet from Briarpatch.
Make it right, and I'll change my review, Briarpatch. You're better than this.

Ordered a steak med rare and 3 times it was cooked dry, and the quality of the last steak was not fit to serve.

The take out salad bar is amazing. You don't have to watch what you want on your salad because they don't weigh them. You pay for the salad bar and get a box and 2 bowls to fill with whatever you want. My go to for a great salad to take home.

That hot fire & an Owensboro staple. STRAWBERRY BUTTER. I could stop there but I’m not gonna. Salad bar fit for a king. Both soups were great too. Hoppin’ john and broccoli cheddar to be precise. Please sir, can I have some more? ? Perfectly cooked/seasoned steak & a loaded baked potato straight outta heaven (ham,bacon,butter,chives,cheese). Then they bring out a dessert platter with like 6 different cakes to choose from, if you feel so inclined. (I did) and the strawberry lemon cake was out of this world. Quintessential Owensboro eatery for celebrating g∞d times with your loved ones. Haven’t been in years til tonight and can confirm that it hits like home all over again.
My wife and I ate there tonight and brought our daughter and her boyfriend along. We all ordered the Ribeye medium rare. The steaks came out pretty thin for the $34 price and was cooked to a solid medium. BUT I'd do it again, over and over! The beefy flavor, the juicyness, and the seasonings used made it an amazing steak! It is now the best steak I have ever had even with it being medium and being a thinner cut than I am used to in the $25 range at other steakhouses it was nothing short of an amazing steak! The atmosphere was great as usual and our server was also great. We are looking forward to our next visit.

"Salad and soup". The title doesn't do the food justice. The creamed potato soup is divine and there is SO much salad to choose from. What a great atmosphere too! A little pricey, but well worth every penny.
Vegetarian options: I've just realised I have a full stomach, yet didn't eat a single piece of meat. Wow! That's a first for me.

By far the loudest restaurant I've ever been to and we went on a weekday around 11am. The salad bar was the best thing about this restaurant, so it lived up to the hype. Both sandwiches we ordered were just medicore and lacked flavor.
Parking: No parking spots available in the restaurant parking lot and that was a Wednesday afternoon around 11am. We had to park down the street and walk a good ways, luckily our babies car seat easily turns into a stroller.
