My food was not cooked correctly. I ordered breakfast. I love my eggs over medium where the whites are cooked but the yoke is runny. Never can they get it right. Always have to send it back. The meats I got were not hot, barely warm but the pancakes were great. The waitress was excellent.Dietary restrictions: I am type 2 diabetic
We have ate many times at Cracker Barrel in Owensboro. Recently, they have changed their hours. My 5 year old twins and I arrived at 8:50 pm thinking they closed at 10 pm on a Friday night. Unaware of it, we sat down and were treated like the most important guests of the night. Madison happily took us to her table and was so kind as my boys were tired and hungry. She served us without any pressure. She happily brought the twins more biscuits as they asked and filled up their drinks. She could have easily wanted us out but she didn’t. I soon found out they closed at 9 pm and I felt so bad. I was reminded to enjoy my meal and not rush. We finished and I was trying to hurry the twins out of the store, knowing they closed, and I had payed online. However, the retail attendant said “I heard when you walked in that they could see toys after they ate. They are more than welcome to look!” They could have rushed me at any point and they didn’t. It was single handedly the best restaurant experience I’ve had in Owensboro in years. Recently this restaurant has really improved! If you haven’t checked it out in a while, please do. It has improved light years! Thank you for making this Mom's night not feel so insanely pressured.

I have been here many times and very much enjoy the food and atmosphere of this restaurant. It is handicapped accessible and is one of my favorite restaurants. The gift shop is always stocked with some very interesting clothing and gifts including candy in other foods.

We went on a Saturday night after church. It wasn’t that busy, but it took a little while to get a table for 6. We had a great waitress! They didn’t have enough waitresses or kitchen help. Several people got up and left before getting their food, because it too so long. It took probably an hour to get our food. I don’t think the manager on staff that night was very good either. The management could do better! They will lose customers this way. It was the night before Easter.Kid-friendliness: High chair and kids menu with crayons. Also the peg game on the table.

Clean, friendly atmosphere. Loved that the fire was burning in the fireplace. The food was decent for the price. My only complaint is that when I order a drink I prefer ice in it as well. Seemed to be an ice shortage last weekend. We even had to ask for a glass of ice to put in our drinks. Otherwise we enjoyed our visit.

I have always loved cracker barrel but tonight our service was horrible! It took our waiter 30 mins to come greet us after we were sat and then another 30 mins just for drinks. We waited almost an hour for her to bring us our food. It was cold when we received it and upon mentioning it to her, she completely dismissed us. But what done me in was upon leaving she asked us to our face "are you not leaving a tip?" My husband told her he is but on his card since we very rarely carry cash. It will be a long while before I return.

Portions are small! Water glasses were dirty! Waitresses do not where gloves to clean dirty dishes and then they come refill your glasses or get your food without washing them hands ! Nasty!

The floor was REALLY dirty!!! The table had not been properly cleaned, there were crumbs all over and it was really sticky. There were 2knives under the table next to us and when it was being seated, the hostess noticed it was dirty and grabbed a rag and started wiping it down, but then they asked for a different table. They sat elsewhere, but no one came back and finished cleaning that table. Our server was really gracious about cleaning our table and took good care of us. I am not sure I would return to that Cracker Barrel in Owensboro. It makes me think of what the back of the house may be like.

I did curbside pickup today. Everything was great. I do wish that when ordering thru the app that payment could be made by gift card. Only payment method currently available is credit card. Hopefully they get more payment methods soon. Adding gift cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, Venmo would be keeping up with the times.
