Drake's Owensboro

We decided to sit on the outside patio and it was not busy at all on a Sunday afternoon. I got the Crab Rangoon roll and the juicy Lucy sliders and both were amazing. Me and my friends shared the pretzels and cheese appetizer that came with their special cheese and a cup of mustard, it was also really good. Cant remember our servers name but she was very sweet and attentive during our meal there. We had a perfect view of the bar and the tvs on the inside from the patio. Overall experience was excellent and we plan on going again soon!

New to the area and tried Drake's last night it was a mistake. Our service was terrible, it took a long time for anyone to even acknowledge us. Then 25 minutes to get our drinks, food delivery was very slow for just sushi. For a Friday night and considering it was not that busy this was unacceptable. The atmosphere is meh, they have outdoor seating with sights of the Academy parking lot across the street and sounds of the highway traffic. Overall the food was OK nothing special, drinks overpriced and weak service in my opinion is terrible. Will not return.

Used to love going to Drakes but went tonight and we sat at the bar, hardly seen the bartender, after two drinks they just gave us the check and talked about closing early. Wasn’t even 9 yet and they close at 12.

Outstanding service! Sarah was very friendly and attentive. Our cocktails were delicious! The food came out fresh and tasty. We enjoyed our burgers!

We got in to town late and decided to try Drakes since they were open so late with the full menu. We ordered the Sirloin & Cali Roll combo and a crunch roll! I didn’t get a picture of the steak, but it was the best part! Huge menu with lots of choices. The sushi was good, and steak was great! Would visit again!

We came with a party of 9, started great, and then they brought the appetizer and 2 of the entrées. 20 minutes later they brought 4 other entrées, and only 35 minutes after the first 2 people got food did we get the rest of our meals out. When the waitress was asked if there was a reason for such a big delay she informed us that she gets yelled at if she puts more than 6 meal orders at a time, that she had to give the kitchen first 6 orders and then 20 minutes later she is allowed to put 6 more. I am very confused with this explanation for a venue that has many 12 head tables. We had people finished with their food before some of us received food, how?

This place is amazing feels like you're a part of the family when you're here. They actually listened to my husband and I about our child's milk allergy; and our apple allergy. Yes, you read right milk allergy. They went above and beyond to make sure that his food didn't get and dairy on it. We definitely would be returning because the food was delicious and my children enjoyed their food. Because it didn't make them sick and tasted good. It is hard for us to eat out because so many things have milk in it or put in it. They didn't make any compliants about us asking if certain foods had our allergies which was refreshing because we have been to places that got upset when we told them butter is dairy. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. Their drinks were also very good according to my husband.

Arrogant waiter didn't want to be there. He got the tip he deserved!
